Darris Flanagan, a life long resident of northwest Montana, grew up on a ranch near Eureka the center of the bootlegging and rumrunning activities in northwestern Montana. Darris has always been interested in history and graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in history. He taught at schools in Fortine, Dayton, and Somers. Now retired, Darris devotes his time to working on the family ranch, researching and writing, and running the museum in Eureka, Montana.
