Packaging awful. Scratched.
Ordered two of them, and they were packaged on top of each other with no separation package and the bottom one got scratched from the top one. Not happy. Whoever packaged these literally threw them in a box together physically touching . Brass scratches ....

Item has blemishes on the surface, but I guess if you imagine a book covering it then you would overlook that.. sturdy, but also pretty narrow, so not for thick books.. complain would be in UPS delivery box that came half opened and destroyed.. also, Ontrac delivery service that absolutely didn’t even try to get the item to me

Nice looking bookstand but not Very practical
I'm generally vey pleased with Hearth & Hand/Magnolia items but sadly , not with this bookstand, as it only accommodates very thin and short sized cookbooks. The two page marker balls, are hard to keep ourt of sight when not in use which can become a nuisance. If you want to use it as a decor item only, then its fine, but not very practical for its ibtended use.
