A: Hello RonDog - We appreciate your interest in this item. To change the bulb in the Hearth & Hand™ Frosted Glass Accent Table Lamp, first unscrew the glass shade from the base of the lamp. Then, you can unscrew the old bulb from the socket and screw in a new one, ensuring it is the correct size and wattage for the lamp. – Alvin

Better than some other comments.
I’d like to share some info on this lamp that is different from some other comments. I purchased in-store. The globe on mine is definitely glass, not plastic as others mentioned. Also, a 9w LED bulb is equivalent to a 40w LED. I used a 40w LED with a 4.5w equivalent. Absolutely love this lamp.

Little but tough and bright
I can confirm the dome is plastic as I dropped it off my desk with no damage. This light will be way too bright with a normal even 40w bulb. I have 15w in there, but if you just want it as an accent light, go even lower like 11 or 9w.

Absolutely love this cutie little lamp. It’s got great Art Deco flair and is very well made. I used a 5watt incandescent bulb for a soft warm glow. I’ve tried many little lamps on my kitchen counter over the past few years, all of which were too tall or too big in general. Just happened to stumble across this in the store and knew it was the perfect size.
