Q: How do you get the shade to stay on? What am I missing? The harp does not have a way to hook anything. It has two metal arms coming down from the finial, but they are too wide for around lamp base.

The item is packaged so tightly that getting it out of the packaging risks damaging it, even if you’re careful as heck. The shade is like cardboard and easily bends and the metal bit that the shade rests on completely snapped off when I took it out of the box. I wouldn’t buy these
