A: Yes, Our 3040S Shaver has a Middle Trimmer for lifting and cutting flat-lying hairs, and a Precision Long Hair Trimmer for trimming your sideburns, mustache and beard.

A: Yes, women can use this to safely shave their legs. However, the results may not be as good because it's designed to remove facial hair.

Q: What is the life of the batter(y/ies), and what happens when they, eventually, die? (i.e., can the consumer replace the batteries?)

A: We'd expect our shavers to last 3-5 years, depending on usage, care, and maintenance. To replace the batteries, the device must be taken apart by a trained person and should not be attempted by a consumer. Please contact an authorized Braun Service Center to have your battery replaced, which you can do so by visiting our Braun Service website.

Worst electric razor I have ever used in 35 years of shaving. Still misses hairs even after 7 or 8 passes. And don't try the 60 day money back guarantee, the qualifications are impossible to meet. Tossed it in trash and buying some else.

Barely does any shaving. Exfoliated beforehand, tried dry, wet, all different directions, circular motions, different amounts of pressure, washing the head of any excess shaving cream and hair, on different lengths of hair, etc. Eventually after what felt like at least 20 minutes I got most of the hair on my face but I was left with patches of hair on my face and neck that i had to remove with my safety razor. The only saving grace is the popup trimmer on the back which can remove hair faster at the risk of nicking yourself if you’re not careful. would only recommend using it to shorten the length of thick patches of hair then cleanly removing the rest with a cartridge razor or safety razor. But at that point you should instead buy an electric hair trimmer.

The price $60 plus is really expensive for this type of shaver sure there is something called the babybliss pro uvfoil double head but that's another level at $200 plus

Somehow Braun has designed a razor that doesn't shave. I ran it over my face 50 times and it doesn't cut anything. Useless paperweight.

I purchased it and thought it was giving me a pretty close shave. But then, after about a week, it conked out altogether!!! I thought it just needed recharged, but now it still doesn't work at all!!!!! TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!!

As you can imagine, we expect your 3040s to last far longer than a week. Be assured this isn't what we expect with our quality checks, so we're glad you shared your experience. Ordered for a gift - Target sends a USED shaver FULL OF SOMEONE'S BEARD HAIR. Totally GROSS!!! I've overlooked shipping problems in the past, but this is disgusting. Sorry Target - I'm done. You don't really care what you throw in a box and ship out, do ya??

We realize that facial hair can be as tough as copper wire, so we crafted this shaver to remove that hair and deliver an exceptional smooth shaving session. We're sorry to hear about this, but know this isn't what we expect with our safety checks. While we're sure your son knows this already, for the best results with this shaver, we suggest he shave on dry skin, hold the shaver at a right angle, taut the skin, and shave against the grain making sure not to apply too much pressure. This should lead to smooth results, and not hurt, but please keep in mind that it may take awhile for his skin to adjust to this new shaver. Don't waste your money. won't cut your neck hair and you have to make an obscene amount of passes to trim any hair whatsoever. The only thing that works well is the buzzer on the back end

Did not cut, but two hair in my son’s face. I bought this thinking it’d be an easier option for my son who has some sensory issues and was so disappointed. Complete waste of money and time.
