About the Author
Markus Fraundorfer is a Research Fellow at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He received his PhD from the University of Hamburg (GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies). He also holds an MA in International Politics from The University of Manchester, UK. He was a visiting research fellow at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and the University of Brasília (UnB).
