Q: When I squeeze the elephant's foot, I only get a short burst of sound and light. I do not get 20 minutes even after squeezing it repeatedly. How do you get the longer burst of music and light?

A: Had same question. When you open the elephant on the back (the clasp is made of velcro), you have two switches. The left switch can be used to set whether short melodies should be played or sleepmelodies throughout. The elephant can be turned on at the right switch and choose volume 1 or 2. When you see the places of switches at place, then you can try switching on/off and between modes without uncovering clasp from back, but directly through toy material. Hope it helps you.

My daughter loved the lights in music until it stopped working. Had one for Christmas that died received another one that stopped working after one use even changed the batteries as well and no luck. If it would actually work when needed, it would be a five stars.
