If you ever have to get in from the outside with the key, you feel like you're breaking the key to get it open. No tension Bolt to adjust tension. Customer service is closed and no other support.

I purchased the Brinks Commercial Door Exit Device for my shop, and it does not disappoint. The matte black has a very nice quality look to it. Overall, this device was easy to install if you read the instructions carefully. It comes with templates for installation which make it very easy to line up. For the exterior side it comes with a finger pull but it can be installed with different types of handles or a pull plate. As far as operation of the push bar, it is smooth and overall, a high quality product. Very much recommend.

ADA compliant door exit. The install was straightforward and directions were easy to follow. I recommend this device for any commercial property; highly rated brand.

This is a nice exit bar for a secondary/emergency exit door. The finish is a matte aluminum with the slightest amount of texture. It comes with a deadbolt and an exterior finger pull. It doesn't include an exterior handle, so you need a key or to have the bar dogged to enter from the outside. It is of lighter weight and construction than others that I have installed, but for its intended application it will definitely be reliable. Installing is simple, with a full scale drilling template included.

We installed this on our lower level egress door that was recently replaced. The instructions were confusing, to say the least, but we were able to figure it out. We used it for a while but we couldn't keep it since there is no exterior handle so we had to remove it. I would recommend it for someone who does not need a handle on the other side. We will keep it in stock until a better application comes along.

I recently had to replace the exit device on my shop door and gave this one a try. It's just what I needed and feels more durable than the one I had on there before. I have a heavy metal door and I can tell this thing is gonna last.

This thing is top notch. It's sturdy enough to hold up on my door that gets a ton of daily traffic. Haven't had any issues with it coming loose or sticking.

We have this on our stairwell door that leads to the outside. It's sturdy and secure enough for a high traffic exit in our building. I plan to upgrade a few more doors with this in the near future.

needed a new one of these at my warehouse, so glad I went with Brinks. I like that the exit bar is reversible and works on both left/ right-handed doors. Easy install and looks clean.

Overall this is a really nice unit. The instructions are not the easiest to read. But it's not overly complicated either. One thing I wish was included is a nice exterior lever. But the unit is very well made and feels high quality. Very smooth operation.

Since I do not need this at my home and it's used for professional use, I gave it to a friend who has his own shop and needs security like this. I was there for the install and also have been by several times to see how it's working. This is why it took me so long to write it review. Nice product and seems ti be holding up well.

Well built heavy duty exit bar. Instructions were easy to read and installation wasn't difficult. Includes hardware and key for optional lock. The devise can be used on right and left hand swing. It can be used on doors with a minimum 32 inch door and maximum 48 inches.

This is a very nice exit bar. It was not difficult to install, but directions could be a bit better,. Heavy duty. Works very smoothly after installing.

I had a idea pop into my head one day after struggling to get my work shed door open with my hands full with tools and stuff. So I searched and found this device. Thought it be perfect. Hit the door with my foot or hip and no worries loading stuff up in my arms. Got the unit and seems very well built. Feels like it take a pounding of my foot or hip overtime. However I didn't do my research fully. Seems I can't keep a regular door handle on the other side to open back up. Unit comes with a key cylinder which defeats my purpose. Not the Manuf or units fault but mine for not researching deeper. These are more for emergency purposes for businesses not my personal situation. Its well built. Lots of instructions that make it seem worse than brain surgery but videos make the install seem a whole lot easier. Everything to install is included. Wish I could just use for my repurposing of its intended use. If I still had my business shop I'd have no problem buying and using this unit as it seems up to its purposed task.

Excellent quality. Heavy duty. Relatively easy to install. Great for metal doors in high traffic areas. Easy to open and easy close. Very secure. Comes with optional lock. The only problem I foresee is if you need to replace it you must use a similar exit device with the same drill pattern.
