This is not an exaggeration. The lower anchor strap is extremely difficult to tighten down and all too often it becomes uneven. I literally have to sit on the seat to add weight while trying pull the strap up with all my strength and only one side can be tighten down. If I don't do that, then the car seat wiggles out of position just a few short car rides. It becomes more difficult when I have to transfer the car seat to another car, such as for the babysitter, and the strap is nearly impossible to loosen without using a key or a screwdriver. I get the same result when installing it on leater and cloth seats. Never had this issue with Britax car seats before. Great for one time install if you don't mind muscling the strap down, otherwise STAY AWAY from this model!! It's not worth the hassle for the price tag.

Ridiculously Hard to Tighten
I really wanted to love this seat but it is SO HARD to tighten the harness straps. Nothing is twisted and I can never get the straps as tight as then need to be. I would not recommend this seat based on this issue and will likely have to buy another seat to replace this one.

Horrible tether. Was not easy at all to use/ pull to adjust. Had to brace my whole weight in the door frame. Nothing caught, nothing misplaced. Returned immediately.

The fabric never stays in place
I have been having this car seat for about two years now and the fabric never stays on the seat. I’ve reached out to the support team and they told me it’s because my kid moves in and out of the seat and pulling happens. But for the price of the seat this shouldn’t happen my child isn’t jumping in his seat and we have another brand seat that doesn’t do this at all with him getting in and out of it.

We have had this car seat for about a year now and I HATE it. I think it looks like and the material feels nice, but that’s really it. The click tight is not easy to install in my opinion. You have to make sure the seatbelt isn’t locked too tight or too loose. The harness straps have become a bit uneven. I have checked them inside the seat for twisting, there is none. The harness is so hard to tighten properly that I have pulled the seat loose trying to do it before. It rattles is the baby isn’t in the seat. Piece of crap

Received damaged carseat with missing parts
After opening the box when we got home from the store (we had placed an online order for pickup), it was clear that the car seat had been used and returned without anyone checking it. Not only was the car seat missing pieces (including most of the cushions and seat covers), there was a dried liquid throughout the seat that smelled like spoiled milk.

really wanted to like this
i really wanted to love this seat and it did but my son outgrew this in 6months and he is not even 3. We bought this car seat for our grandparents car and the straps are so short... i mean so short what was Britax thinking calling this one4life. my son constantly complains about groin buckle hurting him and we can hardly get straps over his shoulders.

I have one of these in got for my youngest and I hate it. I hate it. And it is easier then the big kids like three to 12 to defrock and wash. But I hate it is to hard to maneuver and clean and I have been trying to find away to like it for three years. If reccaro still made car seats for kids in the US I would have gone with them.

Britax quality is gone forever
I've only ever had britax seats for my youngest 3 kids. The quality of this seat is trash compared to my 6 year old clicktight boulevard. Straight out of the box you'll notice the wobbly cup holder brackets, cheap plastic sides and a rock hard infant pillow. I'd like to check the foam pieces but I'm terrified of taking the cover off. It's so shoved into the plastic panels I don't forsee it going back on nicely once taken off. Only one recline option for forward facing. The level indicator keeps getting stuck so with a shake, it will pick a random spot to stop. I put it back in the box and will be returning.

Safest car seat EVER!
I was in a car accident yesterday and the police and paramedics told me that my child’s car seat saved her life. I knew I was buying a good car seat when I purchased BUT this good, I had no idea. The extra cushion and padding helped limit the impact of the accident while the steel frame kept her safe and in place. I would recommended this to everyone!

I will always reccomend this car seat to others. We have another brand and it does not seem sturday at all. This car set is easy to install (even the grandparents can do it) and once you snap the seat down, its not going anywhere. My toddler was a big baby and grew out of his infant seat quick, but had no problems with this seat and has always seemed comfortable. We have the black one, but it has never seemed to get to hot, or to make our child to hot. This car seat is definitely the most sturdy, secure seat that we have purchased and will continue to purchase from here on.

Car seat buckle starting to fray after 2 yrs using
I bought this car seat in February 2023 thinking that it would last a 10 years or somewhat close, But the buckle is already starting to fray - not the chest clip area but the bottom clip is fraying. I’m not sure if it can be replaced, What if that is starting to wear after only two years I am worried about the integrity of the rest of the car seat. - I would still recommend this car seat because it is a great car seat. I am just worried about the integrity of it After only two years when it is said to last for 10 years, I would like to re-purchase the same car seat, but I honestly don’t know.

We love Britax!
This is our second purchase of this car seat, the first was 3 years ago and it is holding up amazing, not sure what the negative reviews are about honestly because we love ours! It was recommended to me by other moms and I’m so glad! It’s been washed many, many times and the fabric still looks great, there’s a tiny bit of pilling where my child’s legs rest but I think that’s to be excepted with any seat especially one that’s 3 years old. Picture is of the one we just received for our baby, and it is beautiful! It is a bulky car seat and heavy to move but most convertible car seats are I think, definitely worth the money in my opinion and we will not buy another brand of car seat!

Don’t recommend if you plan on using it for over 2/3 year. Most all the metal spots under the cover are rusted and I emailed britax and all they could do was offer me 30% off to buy a new one because they don’t recommend me to continue to use it. Spent almost 400$ on it and am very disappointed in quality. I have one for my other son as well but I won’t be buying anymore britax products in the future. Also it’s literally called one for life and is already rusted. Under 3 years later.
