    Definitely get 2! It’s that good!

    Buy 2! I’m back buying another one because when I mix my starter & want a clean jar, I want to use this one! The small starter jar is so great for keeping a small starter in between baking. I took away 1 star because it doesn’t come with anything to secure the lid enough to store the starter in the fridge. I also found the black rubber band warped over time, so it isn’t very useful. I don’t really need it when the jar has measurements on it.

    My Starter Jar of Choice

    I love the Small starter jar and own several of them as well as a Regular size starter jar. Very easy to use and clean. I wish they’d make another jar inbetween the two as well.

    Love it so much

    I used to have a mason jar for my starter. The lip on the jar was always messy. This is so much neater and having the measurements and band around the outside is very helpful. I've already bought a second 1 to give as a gift when I share my starter.

    Great find

    A few years into my adventures with sourdough and broken traditional jars during washing, I was very excited to find this and rehouse my starter. Shape is ideal with rounded base and user friendly width. Nice perk to see it's made in New England as we are in RI. I will definitely explore other products!

    Fits the Sourdough Home

    The best attribute of the jar is that it easily fits the Sourdough Home. The lid is plastic and the black rubber band is so round that it rolls right off and gets lost easily! Sometimes, a glass Werk jar with a common flat rubberband is just what's needed.

    Love my jars!

    I am new to sourdough bread making and started out using jars that are made for canning to grow my starter. Those jars are a pain to clean! I love my brod and taylor jars for their clean, straight sided design. My starter is very healthy and active....now to make a decent loaf of bread.

    Love and hate

    I loved this jar. It weighed exactly 300 g so easy to know how much starter was in it. Easy to clean. Did an excellent job with rising the starter. Mine broke after a few weeks. It can be slick and hard to hold on to. Doesn't take much drop to break on the counter. Love it but keep that in mind when handling it.

    Flat black ring please.

    I also wish the adjustable black ring is flat so that it stays in place and does not roll up or down the jar.

    Little jar

    I love this little jar! easy cleaning and nice to keep my starter going without wasting too much flour. HATE the plastic top. I thought for the price it would be glass.

    Love these jars!

    I love the larger jar, with feeding it holds about 200-250g (give or take) active starter. So easy to keep clean and track peak growth. I see myself ordering more in the future!
