Great find
A few years into my adventures with sourdough and broken traditional jars during washing, I was very excited to find this and rehouse my starter. Shape is ideal with rounded base and user friendly width. Nice perk to see it's made in New England as we are in RI. I will definitely explore other products!

Fits the Sourdough Home
The best attribute of the jar is that it easily fits the Sourdough Home. The lid is plastic and the black rubber band is so round that it rolls right off and gets lost easily! Sometimes, a glass Werk jar with a common flat rubberband is just what's needed.

Love my jars!
I am new to sourdough bread making and started out using jars that are made for canning to grow my starter. Those jars are a pain to clean! I love my brod and taylor jars for their clean, straight sided design. My starter is very healthy and active....now to make a decent loaf of bread.

Love and hate
I loved this jar. It weighed exactly 300 g so easy to know how much starter was in it. Easy to clean. Did an excellent job with rising the starter. Mine broke after a few weeks. It can be slick and hard to hold on to. Doesn't take much drop to break on the counter. Love it but keep that in mind when handling it.

Flat black ring please.
I also wish the adjustable black ring is flat so that it stays in place and does not roll up or down the jar.

Little jar
I love this little jar! easy cleaning and nice to keep my starter going without wasting too much flour. HATE the plastic top. I thought for the price it would be glass.

Love these jars!
I love the larger jar, with feeding it holds about 200-250g (give or take) active starter. So easy to keep clean and track peak growth. I see myself ordering more in the future!

The only thing I don't like is the silicone band
I have 2 of these jars to use with my Sourdough Home, so I can have a clean jar each time I feed and I do love them. The silicone band is whily, though. It refuses to stay put and I can't get it level for anything. I'm looking for other options there. The jar itself, though -- no complaints!

Starter Jar = Kitchen Scientist
The aesthetic plus the ring makes me feel like the kitchen scientist I always wanted to be. The lid allows a little airflow, which has helped my starter Doughfus reach its first birthday.

Love the shape, lid & band are meh
I threw the black band away almost immediately, it rolls, doesn't stay where I put it and wouldn't say level. I think it's weird that the lid is plastic, I would've preferred a glass lid.

My sourdough starter loves this jar!
Great jar, nicely made. It's easy to clean and easy to use. I like the band that you can use to mark where your starter is so that you can easily see development. It works well and is also a beautiful jar.

Loved the jar but
I loved this jar but it is hard to grip with its sleek surface. Yesterday it slipped and got the counter and busted. Just be sure you have a good hold on it.

So versatile
I have my larger jar for when I a need it but when I want to bake a couple of loaves, it's perfect! They both fit well in the home at the same time in fact, I can fit four.
