The mouth is wide enough to easily fit a sponge through to clean the inside!! This would be perfect to store flour or sugar in and fit a measuring cup in!!

Also, you cannot use this for jarring. I wasn’t going to but isn’t that the point of the ball canning company?

The bad thing is that you can only use it to storage dry foods or use it as decoration, so I use it to storage oats, let’s see if it keeps them fresh. I also thought about putting candy in it.

Horrible sticker residue! Had to use copious amount of Goo Gone to get rid of the sticky mess. And then the jar cracked for no reason but too late to take it back. A total rip off.

We apologize that you had a negative experience with your Ball 64oz Glass Half Gallon Storage Jar Clear. We have confirmed that many common household aerosol cooking sprays i.e. (olive oil, canola oil) containing Soy Lecithin are effective at removing that adhesive residue on the glass jars.

Why all these stickers?! They're impossible to remove. I buy Ball mason jars all the time and this is the first 'stout' one. Two stickers on it and it won't come off. I boiled it, tried alcohol. It looks so ugly.

This jar is a great quality and a great size for all kinds of things. Love it!
