Q: Based on the answer to what the lids are made of, does that mean they contain PVC?? If not, what is the plastisol comprised of?

Q: Are the lids stainless steel, aluminum or ...... What?
A: Hi Randy, thanks for your interest in the Ball 64oz 6pk Glass Wide Mouth Mason Jar with Lid and Bands The lids are made of five different materials; we start with a core base of steel sheeting, applying an ultra-fine tinplate coating to the top and the underside. A BPA-Free base coating is then applied to the underside and a BPA-Free top coating is applied to both the top and underside of the lid. The sheets of tin-plated steel are then stamped out to create regular and wide mouth lids. Lastly the plastisol is poured into the channel on the underside of each lid, the plastisol is not rubber based.

Q: Regarding the 16 and 32 oz Ball jars , are they call safe for canning ? If I choose to place hot food in them and seal the jars with a sealer is that safe ?
A: Hi Bonnie, thanks for your interest in our products. Our guidelines for safe canning is based on low or high acid foods. High Acid foods need to be water bath canned and Low Acid foods should be pressure canned. If you are wanting to use a vacuum sealer, please reach out to the manufacture for safe guidelines.

Q: Are the lids and rings the same size for 64 oz wide mouth jars as for the the 32 and 16 oz wide mouth jars?
