Q: Regarding the 16 and 32 oz Ball jars , are they call safe for canning ? If I choose to place hot food in them and seal the jars with a sealer is that safe ?

A: Hi Bonnie, thanks for your interest in our products. Our guidelines for safe canning is based on low or high acid foods. High Acid foods need to be water bath canned and Low Acid foods should be pressure canned. If you are wanting to use a vacuum sealer, please reach out to the manufacture for safe guidelines.

The jars were scratched slightly on the outside of the jars. Probably because how tightly they were packed. This is not Targets fault… wishing there would have been some packing material between the jars. Target makes it easy to order online and has competitive prices.
