A: It does not, but they can be purchased separately.

Q: Are these jars dishwasher safe? Can the metal closing wire be removed without damaging it?

A: Yes, the glass is dishwasher safe. You will need to remove the lid assembly first and then you can put the glass bottom and the glass lid into the dishwasher. The wire bail should be hand washed.

This is a quality jar. The lid provides a perfect tight seal when needed. I bought this to use for my sourdough journey and it has been perfect. The mouth of the jar is plenty big to get a spoon in to stir. The glass is nice and thick. I’ve dropped it from a short distance on a granite countertop and not a single crack! The price is amazing compared to other jars of the same size.

Excellent jar, glass is extremely durable. Made in Italy! I’d be surprised if it broke even if dropped from a normal height range. Maybe on concrete but probably not on a kitchen floor. These are made to last, and look great too. Along with a good price I think they make an old school but still relevant storage option. Not best for liquid. I use mine for rice, pastas, sugar, flour etc. I keep bigger bulk of those in the pantry in big plastic airtight containers, but keep on-hand quantity in these so I have some at the ready on the kitchen countertop. Very handy and don’t take up much as space. Highly recommend.

Extremely pleased. Perfect size for my countertop - keeping rice and lentils and other grains visible so we eat them. All 6 glass jars came well wrapped, and I love that they are minimalist, no big logos all over the glass (I'm looking at you ball). Also, slightly square for maximal storage space. Might just use these for all my pantry needs. Also, airtight lid! The manufacturer does not recommend putting the lids/metal parts in the dishwasher so minus one star for ease of cleaning. Im anticipating needing to deep clean the lids so they work perfectly for my use.

Great size to hold homemade broth and soup. I have put mine in the freezer after it cools down. I do put Saran Wrap over the covering before closing. Helps to keep ice from forming. Needs to be cool I hand wash. Don’t know about dishwasher. Stays airtight.

I have probably 10 around the house. I have LOVED these jars in multiple sizes for years. I just bought 2 more today and they dont close. The metal hardware is on upside down and backwards! And i have to either 1. return (a 30min drive one way) or 2. Pray it does break and try to fix it myself
