Nice, well-priced machine. Comes with a good amount of notions and accessories. Easy to use, instruction manual was thorough. There are a lot of decorative stitches, which may not be useful frequently but still fun to have. Love how you can embroider letters with ease with this machine.

Love this machine! I'm a beginning quilter and this has many of the bells and whistles of the more expensive machines that my friends have. I've just completed stitch in a ditch quilting of a wall hanging and it did a great job aside from operator error (me).
Lot to learn, many features.

I love this sewing machine . It is a huge upgrade from the one I was using. I purchased it primarily because I was planning on making drapes for my bay window and wanted a machine that could handle multiple layers of fabric and heavy buckram that was within my budget. The Brother CS7205 ticked all the boxes. Plenty if stitch options to choose from some I’ll probably never use. Some of the other features I love are the variable speed control, easy drop in bobbin and winder, it’s light enough to carry around and heavy enough that it’s solid , the machine is easy to use and comes with an easy to understand manual. Ok now the reason for only 4 stars- I don’t like that the area around the needle is so crowded . Its difficult to change the needle and swap out presser feet.

I love the machine, but, someone designed the left side to come down to far and now you can't get your hand in there to change the foot and put a walking foot on. Plus, I love to do decorative stitches. Haven't been able to do one on this machine yet. Been tempted to pack it up and send it back a couple of times. But, I'm stubborn, will try to concur it yet. Will try support help first.

My husband bought this machine for me I have another very similar one but not as many stitches and I like how this machine tells you the foot you need per stitch. I am make a dress for my granddaughter I am using the flower stitch on the collar and sleeve cuffs the fabric is blue gingham with daisy embroidered flowers. I am enjoying the machine,my only complaint is the needle threader is kind of a pain I do wish the machine was a bit heavier so won't move around when doing heavier projects.and wish the throat was larger for quilting

I had a problem with any thread being tangled around the take up lever, this was the second machine that had that problem. They replaced the first one, but since I had had the machine over 2 years they did not replace it the second time. Other than this major problem, I enjoyed the machine. I probably will not be getting another Brother machine.

Such an amazing machine! This is my first purchase! My first machine is a manual one that was passed down from my neighbour but this is a very high tech machine, very impressed.

A nice machine, however it's not for heavy fabrics. The sew steady table that was included does not stay steady! It has to be tightened and/or adjusted every few minutes while in use.

I have only had my Brother machine for a few short weeks. I purchased it as a backup machine and also to take to quilting retreats as it only weighs about 10 1/2 pounds. It saves me from having to take my heavy machine out of my sewing table. So far I am quite happy with the performance of this machine. Not having ever owned a Brother, I was a little intimidated on learning a new machine, but once I got started, it was very easy to thread and wind bobbins. It sews very smoothly. I will mostly use it for quilting, but like the idea of the decorative stitches for anything else I will be sewing.
Great machine.

A great sewing machine that I'd buy again. Even stitching on even heavy fabrics. Easy to thread. Nice collection of decorative stitches, it will write text and good collection of presser feet. My only complaint is that reversal of stitches is somewhat difficult, i.e., it does not always reverse. But for the price it is a winner.

Overall I am happy so far with my CS7205. It is replacing a Brother Project Runway Innovis 40 that I loved. I still struggle with the needle threading feature, so difficult to get right each time but this feature is important to my old eyes. I have many more of the stitches to experiment with but I am determined to keep at it. The machine is lightweight and I like the many stitch and speed options. I believe it's a good value for the price on a new, unused machine.
