Burpee Wildflower Perennial Mix Flower Seeds

Wildflower perennial mix and wildflower cutting mix was in fact all weeds, except for the Marigold seeds that I planted. The weeds that came up aren't even in my yard. Waste of time and money

I bought this bag a few months ago, scattered the seeds across a few beds, and within a week, I could see tiny sprouts. Fast forward to now: the lupines are already taller than me (pre-bloom!), and beautiful calendula and black eyed susans are blooming. Super easy and gorgeous already. I spray with neem oil every week for good measure. Bees and butterflies are loving it too!

A neighbor had a beautiful border, well balanced colors, 1-2 feet tall last year. Just now (May) I saw wallflowers coming up. He gave me the empty bag as reply to my question what he had planted.

As I waited patiently for the seeds to grow. It is worth the wait. Here is this pretty flower that is surprisingly beautiful.

We live in zone 8 and do not usually have frost until January. I took a chance and planted 2 large pots full of the Wildflower Perennial Mix in mid October. They germinated almost immediately and are growing nicely. I anticipate a happy colorful mix early in our spring.

Brought many bees and pollinators , lovely. Plant early , in full and water well. These get tall, like three plus feet. They last from early may to mid August. Will buy end of season and save to plant for spring 2021. Looking forward to bring the pollinators again.

I bought this at the beginning of the year to provide a pollinator garden. Tilled the soil and planted according to the directions. The only thing which germinated was basil. I now have a ton of basil if anyone has some good uses?! I was really hoping for a variety of blooms out of the 50,000 seeds, but ended up with basil.

I bought this because I have an odd area next to my garage that sits untouched. I figured why not toss some wildflower seeds there, since it’s low maintenance and pretty. Followed the directions; nothing. There were a few days where I wasn’t able to water, so the soil did dry out, figured it was my fault so I bought another bag. I made sure to follow the directions perfectly, watered, etc. etc. and nothing. Not one flower, although I now have a crazy amount of weeds. I’m so disappointed I wasted money on not only one bag, but two bags.

I picked up two bags of these for the pollinators. Don’t waste your money. At 30,000 seeds in the two bags there are few flowers.

I sowed a bit of this mix early spring of last year in a very small bare spot next to my swimming pool that was full sun and very dry. Perhaps because they were the only plants I quickly identified as sprouts, the main plants to survive were the drought-tolerant varieties. I have some beautiful echinacea, gaillardia, and calendula in this spot a year later. The gaillardia came in the first year but the echinacea and calendula only grew a year later. This spot has gone from being an embarrassment to a beautiful focal point in my yard. In addition to honeybees, the leafcutter bees can't get enough of these plants. My only regret is I don't have more space to plant this mix.

We planted 5 bags of this wild flower mix. Raked into soil and got no flowers at all. Zero

Most of the flowers never sprouted. I have a fine crop of WEEDS!

I've seen complaints that this is full of filler. Yes, it is, and it's there for a reason: it makes it much easier to sow the seed evenly. The price doesn't include extra for the filler -- compare this with similar mixes that don't have filler, and the price is about the same. Don't think of it as filler, think of it as "free sowing aid medium" if you like. I have had great germination success when sown in warm weather.

I bought these on a whim and was so surprised by all the beautiful colors and flowers! I definitely recommend them.
