I've used nothing but BB original for at least 25 years, and this new formula is so awful. Like others have stated, I can't figure out what's different. The ingredient list is exactly the same. I don't care about the packaging changes, but to mess with the formula is unforgivable.

have been using BB original for 10+ years and have recently developed an allergy to the new formula! took my skin and lips months to recover and now i can’t use it at all otherwise i break out in a rash! similar thing is happening with the new Day Lotion Aloe and Rice Milk formula and my eyes! Very disappointed to see this drop in quality from such a renowned brand!

I can’t figure out what they changed, but this new version just doesn’t work. Like other brands of chapstick, this new formula dries out your lips way more than the old version. Sad to see another good brand ruined.

I have been using Burt’s Bees for over 10 years now and it has always been my go to. However, the new packaging on their chapsticks is just not cutting it for me. I have cracked multiple lids, which has never happened to me before, and once that happens you can’t put it back on correctly and it will fall right off. You’re forced to open a new tube at that point if you’re carrying it in a purse or pocket, and I should not have to do that! Comparing the old(L) with the new(R) style caps, you can see how much thinner the packaging was made. I’ve always loved the product but I’m hoping that there will be improvements made in the future with this packaging. Trying to fix something that wasn’t broken was the wrong move!

I bought this to go south. I have used the product before and it went on smoothly, with a lovely tint. This tube however, is so hard, I can't apply it to my lips at all. I regularly use your other products and would recommend them but not this one. I really wanted a tinted SPF lip product.

Why did the formula for this lip balm change without warning. I hate the peppermint oil in it. I bought it because it’s simple bees wax but was shocked when my face started burning. A very unpleasant feeling and didn’t help with the burning I already had because my skin is dry. I hated it Bert bees should go back to the original formula. Worst of all the label has peppermint oil written in such tiny print you can’t even see it, unlike all of the other scents they make where the color is different and the writing is visible. I feel cheated honestly. Extremely disappointed

I like Burt’s bees lip balm a lot. I use about 1 stick per month. I just wish I could remove the caps more easily and equally place them back on more easily. If this could be changed, it would be a helpful improvement 🙂

I liked the flavor is not too waxy or heavy. The cap is easier to pop off. I liked the seal around the cap for safety purposes. Helps keep my lips moist and hydrated, it lasts longer. Which is a plus.

Your new lids are ridiculously thin, they crack upon first removal and then don’t fit properly any longer. Old square edged lids won’t fit the new tubes either. Don’t use the excuse you’re trying to use less plastic-it’s a money grab. After over 30 years of use, seriously considering changing brands….

This specific lip balm brand has been my favorite ever since I started using it. That was over 13 years ago. However, I have noticed that in my recent 2 years of use that the (original lip balm with vitamin E) has changed! I don’t recognize what the change is. It could be one of the ingredients, it could just be a bad batch, but three bad batches of lip balm in a row? Nooo. Please bring the OG back. I’m still a frequent user of this brand and will definitely come back to the “original,” if it is “original” again. Thanks for the years Burt’s Bees!
