This butter dish was heavy and the bottom of it was not smooth to the touch. I'd never use it on my countertop as it might scratch it. If it was ever dropped it would damage whatever it landed on...tile floor, countertops, your foot.

This butter dish is adorable! Arrived in one piece, as it was properly packed before shipment. Honestly all these reviews of broken butter dishes is not Targets fault. It lies in the individuals packing the item, and every process of shipment. My butter dish was taped together, with proper fragile wrap stretched and then wrapped 5+ times. Along with the standard proper alignment positioned strategically in the box. It's not about the dish. The answer lies in the shipment process. As a Fulfillment Team Expert, I understand!

LOVE Butter dish but, not wide enough
Love this butter dish!! I was afraid to order it because of all the other reviews saying it cracked or broke from shipment. But mine, well I ordered it by accident. It was in my cart while I was ordering other stuff. When I received the butter dish, I was so nervous opening it. But actually was in excellent condition. I wished it was whiter color. But looks good. Smaller than I thought. Loved the handle. But the butter dish isn’t as wide as I thought it would be. The Kerrygold doesn’t fit unless you cut the butter in half. And the top of the butter dish could’ve been designed a little wider. To actually cover the whole plate. Other than that, I do love it.
