Battery fried my camera within 1 hour of using. Was offered a new camera if I sent my broke camera back and since I sent out my broken camera 2 weeks ago I haven’t heard anything since.

Love shooting on this! Use it for work on my YouTube channel, went from using my iPhone to using this and I'm absolutely in love. Haven't used it in a real vlogging situation yet, just to film sit down videos, but I'm so excited to see how it performs in a travel/outdoor environment!

Finally bit the bullet, sold my G7x because it was no longer serving me. And bought this baby! It has been so awesome! I love the flip screen, it was definitely a game changer! I love that it’s super light in Weight, smaller than an actual DSLR. Awesome for vlogging which is my main reason I bought this! The only flaw, that I thought my camera was broken when I got it was that the flip screen would go black as I filmed. But as I read it could be the sensor. Soooo that’s the only thing that worried me when I first started using it. But overall awesome camera!!

Great jump from phone photography

This is my first DSLR camera. I love it. I have shot for a few years on a Google Pixel, which takes great photos. I wanted to finally upgrade to something that would print larger and better quality photos. This is a great transition from phone photography because of the digital VF and display. Seeing the real time adjustments in manual settings on the screen before shooting is similar to smart phone photography functionality so getting going is a breeze.

I got it about 6mths ago , it’s very light . The way I see it for me I can’t see point of such a light camera and mount 50mm lens plus the adopter on it it become almost what I’ve come from (550 d) I would recommend it with reservations, there needs to be more choice of lenses to compete with competition

I own several Canon cameras. I love my 5D Mk IV but the body with some of my longer lenses is a hefty camera to hold on to. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I decided to look for lightweight mirrorless Canon camera that would be easier to hold to. I have owned this camera for 7 months now. I must say that it has performed better than I expected for a camera in this price point. I love the electronic viewfinder (EVF) and the dual pixel autofocus with eye autofocus. It also has the option to use manual focus peaking! Additionally, with the EF-EOS M lens mount adaptor, I can use all my other Canon EF lenses. I shoot raw stills, however it is worth mentioning that I am surprisingly pleased with the JPEG in camera processing. Regarding the battery; I do not routinely shoot video, but for stills, I find the battery to be adequate. I make it through the day without having to use my spare. Video however will put a larger demand on the battery. The lightweight EOS M50 with the dual pixel AF, an articulated touchscreen and a microphone mount would lend this camera excellent for vlogging.

A week into this camera, and still working the bugs out, getting used to it, and trying different things. The kit lens produces stunning images, while using the adapter for my old EF-S lens' leaves a lot to be desired. Clarity is reduced considerably, making me have to consider another Canon m-mount lens for a longer zoom. Set-up was easy, connecting via wi-fi equally so. A lot of settings to go through to get it where I want it. This camera is replacing my aged T2-i.

The camera shoots pretty good stills and photos and is small enough for carrying around. Some of the features will take time to learn and apply, but well worth it. So far the only complaint i have is the lack of a Bulb feature on the shutter. Not really sure why Canon didn't put this in this camera, but they didn't.
