I upgraded from a T5i to a T7i. I LOVE both cameras for the quality of photos and price point. My favorite feature is the flip out screen.

Incredible camera- huge step up from my T6! I especially LOVE the ability to choose my focal point (my 50mm 1.8/f lens has a habit of focusing low- this body allows me to choose where I want it to focus, like my client’s eyes, so I never have to waste a shot because it focus on my blanket again! {I’m a boudoir photographer}). I also love the tilt screen so I don’t have to lay on the floor (as often- just laud out in the grass for a motorcycle session yesterday, haha) any more to get leg shots/etc. Also does great on lightning shots with my 18-55mm kit lens from my T6 <3

After a rough start with Canon's T7 I decided to give them another go and bought the T7i. I have had it two days now and love it! This is a great camera for wild life photography. With 6 fps burst shooting it is not the fastest in Canon's line (or in the dslr world) but it is plenty fast enough to capture some amazing shots. And the AF is awesome. For the price it has to be vert hard to beat. It has a good grip. solid feel feel and yet is not too heavy to hold. Some reviews I read and watched claim is should have 4K video. Personally I did not buy a dslr camera to take videos. And if I do want to try out a vid or two it still has full HD. It is easy to learn to use, so anyone not experienced with dslr cameras would have no trouble with the T7i. Plus it has the wonderful colors Canon is famous for! Great camera... reasonable price. How can you go wrong?

The Best Bang for the Buck entry level DSLR

I bought this DSLR around 5 months ago with a 18-55 f/4-5.6 lens and a 75-300 mm telephoto lens. This was the first DSLR I ever owned and this was also my first step towards some DSLR photography. Now five months away, what I can tell is that this camera was the perfect one to begin with. The built in user-interface is very helpful for beginners, who'll surely run into issues such as ISO, aperture, shutter speed settings and so on. The interface which consists of various inbuilt settings for various situations helps a lot and has surely paved my way towards learning to adjust the settings on my own, depending on the conditions. Apart from this, the image quality is just fantastic. The sharpness and details captured by the 24.2 MP sensor was just awesome from the start and this excellent performance ensured that I'd continue building up my interest towards photography. The video quality is excellent as well. The dual pixel CMOS sensor is just awesome, especially when it comes to keeping track of high speed objects. Furthermore, the build of the camera is great, the body is super conveniently light-weight and the ergonomics are spot on. And, all this, for just around a 1000 bucks (including the basic lenses)...Well, that's simply AWESOME. However, the only issue I have with the device is that the low light images leave much to be desired for, with high noise and grain at higher ISOs. Other than that, the device is just fantastic. It has been an excellent companion for me, a teacher for me and has helped me transform my interest in photography towards a real passion. (I'm planning on upgrading to a Canon EOS 6D Mark II next year. Nonetheless, I'll continue using my Canon EOS Rebel T7i because this device feels and is simply great to use...) No matter what, T7i will always be First Love... Thank you Canon.

Great camera, crisp photos. Awesome Bluetooth connection to cell phone. Touch screen is huge plus. Just don't think you can do anything with the CR2 files that come from it. DNG converters don't recognize them, Lightroom 6.0 doesn't either. 24.1 MP don't mean a hill of beans if you can't convert them.

Impressive features in an entry level consumer ILC

Bought this camera last week. It's my first digital ILC. I have owned several P&S Canon Cameras, and have always liked the ease of use of Canon Cameras. One thing that drew me to the Rebel T7i, was that it was supposedly a very user friendly camera. So far, I would say that is the case. It has a very user friendly interface and set up. I like the fact that I can select from a menu of scene types and not worry about going full manual. But if I want to go that route, it's very simple and straight forward. I went with the 18mm-135mm lens. It was a nice compromise in lenses. I do miss having a bigger zoom capability but life is full of compromises! I like the AF function. It really does focus quite fast. I have not yet tried to do any fast action shooting yet, so can't comment on that function. But the low light capability so far has been good. Close up pics have also been very good. I will say that the camera is light but has a lot of plastic, which does concern me somewhat. I am a skier, and will plan to take this with me on the slopes in my pack. I will plan to put it in a protective case for added protection. I look forward to discovering all the capabilities of this camera. So far so good!

... so I haven't done much with it. It's a nice camera, but I'm not ready to pack up my T6s just yet.
