Description

From stunning portraits to breathtaking landscapes, capture high-quality images with the EOS RP RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM Lens Kit. Our lightest and smallest full-frame EOS camera to date, the EOS RP is packed with impressive features, including a 26.2 MP CMOS sensor, 4K video and DIGIC 8 image processor. Plus, with the RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM’s compact size, versatile zoom range and optical image stabilization with up to 5 stops of shake correction, this lens kit will make the perfect match for capturing a variety of subjects.Lightest, Smallest Full-frame EOS CameraFor all their appealing features one of the concerns of using a full-frame camera has been its larger profile, however, the EOS RP is the lightest and smallest Canon EOS full-frame camera to date. Weighing approximately 440g (body only) while being impressively compact and comfortable to use, the EOS RP is more convenient to carry, shoot with, and store than any previous EOS full-frame camera before.Compatible with EF/EF-S LensesEngineered to work seamlessly with RF lenses, the EOS RP also maintains complete compatibility with EF and EF-S lenses by using one of three optional Mount Adapters. When using EF-S lenses, the EOS RP even crops automatically to reflect the APS-C sized sensor the lenses are designed for.26.2 Megapixel Full-frame CMOS SensorThe EOS RP camera features a Canon-developed and produced 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor with approx. 26.2 effective megapixels. It employs the DIGIC 8 Image Processor to enhance the speed of operations across the board. This means fast, efficient performance and phenomenal image quality for big prints.ISO 40000 Sensitivity RangeThe EOS RP camera has a standard ISO sensitivity range of 100-40000 for stills and 100-25600 for video (100-12800 for 4K video shooting). Combined with the EOS RP camera's remarkable low-light AF performance, still and video shooting is possible even in dark situationsDigital Lens OptimizerThe EOS RP camera has an in-camera Digital Lens Optimizer that works with RF lenses (and EF/EF-S lenses with a Mount Adapter) to provide a substantial improvement in image quality. The Digital Lens Optimizer limits deterioration in image quality caused by low-pass filters or wide-aperture lens designs. It's usable both during shooting and when developing RAW data, and does not affect continuous shooting speeds. Data from compatible EF and EF-S lenses is built into the camera, and data information from RF lenses is transferred near instantly through the EOS RP's 12-pin communication system.High-Speed Focusing in Approximately 0.05 SecondsThe EOS RP camera's highly responsive Dual Pixel CMOS AF system features 4,779 manually selectable AF points and can deliver sharp focus within approximately 0.05 seconds. This means fast action can be captured and focus can be maintained with speed, accuracy and ease.Excellent Low-light PerformanceAmazing for nighttime photography or in very low light, the EOS RP camera's brilliant AF can operate in light as dim as a light rating of EV -5 where other AF systems may fail or search. Phenomenal AF is achieved even when using lenses with high F numbers. This ultra-sensitive AF works in concert with the EOS RP's EVF to clearly capture subjects even when there's limited light.Vari-angle Touchscreen LCDThe EOS RP camera features a 3-inch, 1.04 Megapixel Clear View LCD II Vari-angle Touchscreen LCD. Brightness is adjustable in seven levels. Its extensive flexibility makes it easy to compose and shoot from virtually any angle, making selfies simple and enabling the LCD to fold away when not in use. The brightness of the EVF and the LCD monitor can even be adjusted individually - a first for an EOS camera. Touchscreen features include settings, review and even AF point selection.

I bought this camera back in 2023 and I've had a great experience with it! I do primarily portraits (indoors and outdoors) and product photography. I was surprised how well it worked in low lighting. The kit lens works very well! I have a few photographer friends who hate on kit lenses but the 24-105mm kit lens worked just fine for me for the longest time. I still use it on occasion, but I have purchased the 24-70mm, 50mm, and 100mm lenses to be utilized with the camera as well.

I have been using a EOS Rebel XSI for probably 10 years. I can actually see sharply and clearly through the view finder what I'm taking a photo of. I'm over 45 and that is an advantage. I never use the big digital screen. I'd have to wear reading glasses. On the EOS RP, nothing is clear. Not the view finder or the digital screen even if I use readers. Very, very disappointed. Not all your camera users are 20 years old! Hate the auto focus. If I put an object in the center of the visual field focus on it! Not around it. Not to the side. Not above, not below. Thank goodness these are digital photos. I've already deleted 50 that are out of focus. Never had that problem with my old DSLR. You put the main subject in the middle and it focused on it. Or, if you wanted an offset photo, place the bullseye over the object, push the shutter release halfway down to focus, hold it, and then move to the side for the composition that you want. My husband paid so much for this camera for me for Christmas. I don't know how to tell him I hate it.

It’s been great so far. I would definitely recommend the extension grip if you have large hands. The lens mount with control ring is also handy if you have ef lenses from another camera you would like to use. Keep in mind the eos rp does not have a built in flas so you should consider investing in one if you need to.

Received shipment on time and with no damage. I have only had the new camera for about a mouth but extremely impressed with the quality and ease use. It does not come with the memory card. I knew that and still forgot to order one. Easy fix. I also ordered the hand grip extension. A well designed and stylish addition to the camera. (Got the red one, very sharp looking addition.). Over all I am very happy with this Canon EOS RP.

I shoot professional images and had previously purchased the EOS R. I tried to get used to that camera which offered impressive image quality, but... The accessibility to 'reach' the features needed to readily produce incredible for me was just not there. After much research and experimentation I sold the EOS R and tried the EOS RP. Incredible photographic tool and in a weight and size that makes it so easy to pack into the high mountains to use for landscape images. With a large stable of L lenses that I use with my DSLRs and a couple of RF lenses this little gem is quite the addition to my quality camera gear! If you haven't already, give this amazing EOS camera a go!

I have been using digital cameras since 1966 and I can honestly say this is one of the best for my experience. I’m a Canon camera user and before the RP I had Canon 90D a very impressing camera, it was large and heavy for me and getting the RP it was the best decision for me. The kit lens 24-105mm is an excellent pair for this camera and I can’t wait to go outside to photograph the beauty of our world.

I was trying to decide between the R and the RP. I decide to purchase the RP as an entry way into the mirrorless camera world. I'm glad I did. The RP takes excellent pictures and I can use my EF lenses with the adapter. I use the RP as my main camera.

I like the RP’s small size and easy access to all functions. Easy transition from my 70D I purchased the RP with the 24-105 mm f4 lens. Photos are sharp at all focal lengths using this zoom lens. Very pleased with the pictures coming from this camera. I am disappointed that it does not have a faster FPS. I use the optional adapter for my EF lenses. I have had no issues using these lenses with this camera. Battery life is shorter than on my 70D Overall I am very pleased with the RP.
