Q: From the pictures, it looks like the lids are not transparent. Is that so? I like to see if my water is boiling, etc.

A: That's correct! Our lids are made from the same material and color as the body of the pans. There is a small steam hole that helps for boiling!

A: We highly recommend hand washing over dishwasher usage! Dishwasher detergents tend to have harsh ingredients that can aid in the rapid deterioration of the nonstick coating.

A: Our longer-handled cookware, such as the Sauté Pan, Fry Pan, and Sauce Pan all have a notch a few inches up the handle. This notch designates at what point the handle should stay cool enough to grab with bare hands. Extended use could cause that warmth to increase slightly further up the handle, but it would not for nearly all regular meals and recipes!

Q: In reference to one customer asking if only the lids are made with aluminum. Is the exterior made with aluminum, what about the lids, are they also made of aluminum?

This cookware set came beautifully and safely packaged, is heavy duty, and also beautiful! I have never put mine in the dishwasher or cooked anything above a 5 on my stove. Every pan after about a year is no longer non stick. I tried their suggestion of baking soda and it worked for about 2 days. I follow the instructions that the pans were sent with. Just not worth the huge investment.
