The battery compartment is at the very top under the handle with the light facing down. Infuriating design but there it is.

Can't figure out how to delete a previous review so this is an update. Battery compartment is at the very top with with flashlight pointed down. The lantern top is a cap that unscrews. Super bright and lightweight!

Just bought this and the batteries replacement just says unscrew and replace ..the only thing that unscrews in the bottom flashlight compartment do I have to take the whole thing apart to replace batteries?? Should I break it before I use it? Does not seem easy ..

i think i broke it just 15min after purchase trying to figure out where in the world the batteries go. bummer

I would love to love these, but one broke the first time it was knocked over, and the other one I have not really used. On the plus side, they appear to have a very long battery life, the broken one broke in such a way where you can't turn the lamp part off, it's been almost a week and it hasen't run out of battery yet. Over all, good idea, but the quality is poor.

No instructions how to put batteries in. Useless without the batteries

Can not figure out how to put batteries in, please help. I've Google searched and youtubed and am having no luck.

I received one of their lanterns in a gift exchange this past Christmas. When I opened it up I was pretty excited to see what it could do and was thinking of the times I'd be able to use it camping with my family. However, my lantern had a wiring issue. One of the wires wasn't connected and it wouldn't light up on the lantern part. I reached out to Cascade Mountain Tech and explained my trouble and how it was a gift. They asked a few questions about where it might have been purchased and when. Then about 3 days later they sent a replacement at no cost to me. This thing is super bright and lightweight! You've got to watch it to avoid looking into the lantern section or it will make you see stars. Definitely happy with the product and extremely impressed with the company!

The cup is great for keeping liquids hot/cold. Unfortunately the sipping lid does not have a cover of any kind that opens/closes to keep the liquid inside the cup when your not drinking your beverage. Most cups like this have some type of sliding or flip up style cover over the hole you drink out of. If, when it is in a cup holder in your car and you hit a bump in the road some of the liquids may spill out. If you tilt it slightly while walking, liquid will spill out. Cup itself is good, the lid is not.
