Q: The Height specs are confusing. It says the base is 16" & the shade is 12". That = 28", not 38". Yet it says height is 38" & you answered someone's question that it is 38". Which is it really?

Color is not cream… definitely more beige. It looks like the lamp was a glazed black and then it was painted over with beige/khaki color and the black shows through a bit. The circles also have cracks in them.
