When I purchased this item, I'd been dealing with some health issues that left my skin in terrible shape (redness, dull appearance, rough texture, dry, etc). But let me tell you, the first time I used this product, it felt like the heavens opened up, the angels started singing and a light beamed down on me. 🤣 I tested it to see if my face would stay moisturized for 48 hours, and it didn't disappoint. I cleansed my face with a gentle cleanser followed by a hydrating toner. Then I applied this serum. My face didn't feel greasy. A little goes a long way. My face felt so soft and hydrated. And most of all, the redness and dullness had greatly diminished. It has a creamy texture and is fragrance free which I like because I have sensitive skin. But I have to get back to the hydration. My skin feels so plump and smooth and bouncy and shiny. I've been using it for about 6 months and it's definitely a holy grail in my skin care routine. BTW, I'm a 55 year old African American who's currently going through menopause (if that's helpful to anyone). Trust me, if you try this product, you won't be disappointed. And it's very affordable.

Really good lotion. It’s a nice thick formula and it pairs well with the Cetaphil daily cleanser and I use it every night. I like how simple the ingredients are

For the last few months I’ve had this horribly dry, rough, red skin on both cheeks and on my temples. I just turned 50 and my skin is changing. I don’t have the time or money for expensive treatments at the dermatologist. No matter what I have tried - microdermabrasion, coconut oil, heavy creams - it would not budge. I have used Cetaphil body cream for a long time and didn’t even know they had a skincare line. I decided to give this serum a try based on the reviews but was skeptical. After just the first application my skin felt smoother, my redness was diminished, and my skin felt great. It is not greasy, absorbs easily into the skin, has zero fragrance. I do put a face cream over it, at least for now, but probably wouldn’t need to. I am really impressed but most off all I’m thankful. Getting older sucks and this helps give me confidence in my appearance.

As a man who shaves often, this product is a staple. My skin is very dry and this hydrates it so well. It also absorbs quickly, making my skin feel like it just drank a glass of water. This is a fragrance free serum which I love because my skin can be finicky at times. It's truly helped with hydration and fine lines. Great product!

I purchased this serum looking to increase hydration because in winter my skin needs to be more hydrated. Another thing I was looking for was that it had no scent so I decided on Cetaphil. The texture is quite creamy, but I feel that because of this, more product is used because it is not distributed as well as when the serum is more fluid. My skin accepted the serum very well, there was no irritation or breakouts. The price is very affordable. The absorption is not much, it leaves that creamy but not greasy feeling.

A must have for January/February winter skin - this is the ONLY product I've found that hydrates all day - skin doesn't look old and dried out.

It's wild to me that this moisturizer is targeted towards dry skin babes & it works so terribly on dry skin. If you have oily/combination skin, this may work for you. If you have dry skin, it will pill & pill until the product is gone off your skin. I've tried using it when my skin is very moisturized in hopes of getting my money's worth, but nope. It still pills & peels & it's probably the worst money I've ever spent bc I haven't gotten even ONE good use out of it.

I really love this serum. My aging skin finally feels like it's hydrated after trying so many products. I have sensitive skin and many high end products are irritating but this one is fantastic. No redness, irritation or tightness just soft, moisturized, happy skin. So happy I found it.

First off I bought this product with my own money, no freebies or incentives. I have suuuper dry skin in the winter and my usual la roche posay moisturizer was falling short. I tried this on a whim and I am hooked! It absorbs right away and leaves your skin dewy looking, not greasy. My skin has been very hydrated. In a few short days it has improved the clarity/texture of my skin and also completely healed a dermatitis/eczema rash that I get every winter under my nose. I wasn’t expecting it to be this good! It is a little pricey for the amount of product you get but I always splurge on skin care and will continue to repurchase this instead of the la roche posay. Please keep it in stock Target!

I received the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration 48 Hour Activation Serum as part of the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Collection trial. This trial required me to use this serum in conjunction with the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Refreshing Eye Serum, Healthy Glow Daily Cream, Replenishing Body Lotion & Body Spray Moisturiser. This serum comes in a sealed 30 ml pump bottle which ensures no contamination of the product during use. The serum is more like a lightweight cream which feels a little wet on application but absorbs quickly to leave my face feeling soft & hydrated without any sticky or greasy residue. I used this serum morning & night as directed for just over two weeks. I found that it layered well with my makeup & other products in the collection. It is fragrance-free & although it didn't cause any irritation to my sometimes-sensitive skin, I did experience a few breakouts on my forehead & chin. I believe this was the serum helping to clear some congestion, as by week two, my skin felt so much smoother & the breakouts stopped. It states that it can be used alone or layered with the Optimal Hydration Healthy Glow Daily Cream. I found it just wasn't enough on its own, so I started to use the daily cream as a night cream too & found I was waking up to glowing, supple skin every morning. Overall, this serum has helped to make my skin feel & look more hydrated & plumper, with a more youthful glow. I would recommend this product to anyone needing more hydration, especially those with sensitive skin.
