Q: Does this leave a white cast on dark skin when applying 1/4 tsp to face as recommended for sun protection against the Skin Cancer foundation?

A: Even though this is a chemical sunscreen, there is silica in it. Skincare with silica in it can sometimes leave a white cast on dark skin.

Solid morning moisturizer
I’ve been using this daily for a few months now since my dermatologist recommended it. I’ve never used a moisturizer before but I’m very happy with this one so far. The texture is nice I feel like my face doesn’t look too oily. I really enjoy that it has spf so I don’t need a separate sunscreen.

I’ve been using the Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer, and honestly, it’s one of the most reliable drugstore staples in my routine. It’s super lightweight, non-greasy, and layers beautifully under makeup. I love the Hydrating Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid—it keeps my skin feeling soft and plump all day without clogging pores. The SPF 15 version is great for daily wear too—moisturizer and sun protection in one step? Yes, please. It’s fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, and perfect for sensitive or combo skin. Bonus: Miley Cyrus’s MUA even used it for her Grammys look, which kinda sold me. The only downside? If you have acne-prone skin, test it first—some versions can trigger breakouts for a few people. Overall, it’s affordable, gentle, and works really well.

Allergic reaction.
One application caused a painful reaction. Face was red itchy and burning. Never had an allergic reaction to a "sensitive skin" product. Still days later still feel the Itching.

Amazing moisturizer with spf
I’ve used this product before and I can say it works very well! I like it. I will say like many spf moisturizers it does leave your face a little dewy, but nothing overly greasy. If you have dry or combo skin it’ll probably work great. I love that it spf and moisturizer, so its killing 2 birds with one stone.

Nice but beware the burn!
I wanted to like this moisturizer as it’s one of my preferred brands. But this product just doesn’t do it for me. First the positives. I do like how it feels very lightweight on my skin and not greasy at all. I am typically shiny within a few hours most days but not with this stuff, which I really appreciated. I feel like I could wear it under my makeup and not have to worry about it all sliding or melting off my face. Now the negatives. This stuff has a very slight “sunscreen” scent. But to me, it’s not that big of a deal. I have sensitive skin, acne-prone skin so I try to avoid the usual suspects and keep it “clean” if I can. I applied and it almost immediately started to burn my eyes to the point that my eyes watered as if I was bawling. I had to use allergy eye drops to ease the burning fire in my eyes. But after that I had no further issues. Finally, even though this moisturizer is supposed to be non-comedogenic, I noticed my pores became very clogged after using this. I will probably end up using this as a hand and arm moisturizer since I am unable to use it on my face.

The moisturizer is lightweight and works well when applying makeup. Great for dry/sensitive skin - especially with the added sun protection. My only complaint is the pump in the bottle. I’ve bought this product many times and the pump always breaks!

I love this moisturizer. It doesn’t leave a cast, and it’s definitely getting the job done. Leaves the skin with a shine as well. Has a slight scent of sunscreen but it isn’t bad at all and you don’t even need much one or two pumps are good. I only use Cetaphil on my face from the face wash to the moisturizer never had an issue.

Terrible, thick, sunscreen scent, burnt eyes
The pump didn’t work even have to taking it off and putting it back on. It was also just basically a sunscreen. It smells strongly like sunscreen and is thick. I need a moisturizer with SPF, and it’s expected that I’ll be in the sun if I’m wearing one with SPF. The moment I had beaded sweat around my eyes, the lotion got into them and burned them so badly I couldn’t open my eyes for twenty minutes. I needed help getting to my shower to fully rinse them because splashing water in the sink was making it worse. I needed eye drops after several minutes in a cold shower trying to flush my eyes. It burned in and around my eyes as well as my nose and nasal cavity. Terrible experience. I returned immediately.

Great Product. Bottle Design Should be Improved.
Great product. However, the bottle design is terrible! The sunscreen dispenser pump is a waste of plastic. I want Cetaphil to reconsider their bottle design. Is it possible to consider making the same product, yet place it in a different container? Can sunscreen be packaged in a container like "Rich Hydrating Cream"? Typically, sunscreen comes in containers that have to be squeezed out. Is there some mandate or law preventing sunscreen from being in this type of container? I have to use a child-safe paint brush just to get the remaining 30% of sunscreen out of the bottle. There has to be a more environmentally conscious design that provides better functionality than what is currently provided. Thank you for listening to my feedback.
