Poorly designed
The foam pad disintegrated after a handful of uses and it's impossible to get the serum out even if you try to press it on a tissue. Clinique need to redesign this product and refund customer. (Emails to support and product team ignored.)

(no review title)
I love Clinique products but this one is not designed well at all. The cotton tip falls off and you need to push the plastic down so hard to even release the product. Disappointing.

Worst packaging ever
It's impossible to tell if this product is any good because it doesn't come out of the bottle. Zip, zilch, nothing. Doesn't Clinique test their products?

great result if usable
This worked amazing until the white top came off completely rendering it unusable. I used it less than 10 times before the sponge tip fell off.

The Sponge Shredded Off/Not Usable
I am a longtime customer of Clinique and this is my first negative review of a Clinique product. To start with, it is very hard to get the product out of the tube. After a few uses the sponge shredded off and now there is a plastic piece sticking out of it. The tube is almost full and it is no longer usable. I can only comment on the container design and the delivery system since I barely used the product. There is no way to open the tube and get the product out of it. I wish I could provide photos here. Please change the design of the tube. People, do not waste money on this product. Sorry Clinique.

skip this product
From a person that uses their whole line of acne treatment this one is the worst. I have to press down really hard for the solution to leak out and I can feel my acne exploding down to my skull and that hurts and the tip will look nasty dirty.

Good Product, Horrible Applicator
As most others have mentioned, horrible applicator. So difficult to even get the product out. I purchased this because my go to was sold out in store and I wish I would have waited. Will be throwing this in the garbage.

Obsessed
I'm 37 and have been struggling with acne for awhile. I have tried everything and Clinique is the best. This new emergency stick is my favorite product they have ever made! It's works so well and doesn't try out my skin (I have sensitive skin).

Waste of money
The product design makes no sense. You have to press so hard on the tip to get anything to come out, like, who wants to do that on a pimple?!

Makes up
This product works really well as a targeted acne treatment. I use it on early breakouts, and it noticeably reduces redness and swelling by the next day. The roll-on applicator is convenient and hygienic, and it's easy to carry in my bag

Good product/Bad delivery
I got this product to help with my acne. The actual product is great but the tip of the pen will actually begin to tear and fall off after many many times of trying to pump out the product. I would rather have a pump than the tip of this thing.

Poor packaging design
The concept is great. However, the foam tip rips easily. It ripped off completely within a month. Underneath is hard plastic and you have to press hard to get the product to come out. Which hurts since pimples are pretty sensutive. I tried taking the tip off completely but you can't. Do not recommend. Waste of money. Can't even tell you if the actual product inside works because it doesnt come out well.

Doesn't hold up
Within the first few uses of this, I had to press so hard every time to get any liquid to come out that the tip totally fell apart.

Don't waste your money
This HURTS to apply! You have to press HARD to get the product to come out. Who wants to press that hard on sore acne?? It's not a roll on, there's a foam tip that's always dry and to wet it with product you have to press down. This is awful. Did not expect this bad of a product from Clinique.

Sponge Tip Came Off!
It's very difficult to get this product to come out! It's activated when you push but found it difficult for any liquid to come out. One day while attempting to use it, the sponge applicator tip just came right off! I've had it less than 2 weeks when this happened so I wasn't happy! I had to use plyers to completely remove the applicator cap. So now it's like a pour bottle. It's the only way that I could access the product.

Don't buy
Not worth the price. Really hard to get the solution out. The foam applicator came off and now it makes the product useless. I recommend getting a serum that you can pump into your hand. This one is just a bad idea and i didnt like how unsanitary it is to keep reusing the applicator.

Nothing Comes Out!
Product might be great, but applicator does not work. It never seems like any product is applied.

Love the product but applicator is awful
The formula works, but you have to press too hard to get it to come out. I've torn the applicator from pressing so hard and another side is flopping over. I'll have to lose a lot of product and use a cotton ball soon enough.

Great product, terrible applicator
Love the product (when I can get it out of the tube). I've actually had this for awhile but haven't had a chance to write this review until now. As other reviewers have said, the design of the applicator is terrible. Very hard plastic covered with a flimsy foam; you have to press it really hard to get any product to come out, usually several times. So hard that it's actually painful to press it on your face, so then you press it on your hand or other hard surface and a ton of liquid pours out and gets wasted. Over time, all of this hard pressing causes the hard plastic to tear through the flimsy foam, then you're left with having to press the applicator directly using your hand, which was working for awhile, but now I can't get any product at all to come out, and I can tell it's still more than half full, which means half the money I spent on this was wasted. Clinique: I've read your responses to the other reviews that "something doesn't sound right", and you're correct—what's not right is the design of this applicator and the clear lack of testing it underwent before bringing it to market. Your stuff is not cheap, so those of us who buy it are loyal customers, and we deserve better than a response of "something's not right, please call this general 800 number and re-explain everything you put in your review to someone who has no idea you wrote a review". We don't want tips on how to use the applicator or help with a return, we want a working product. You have enough reviews here to understand the problem without us having to take even more time to call or chat with someone to explain what a terrible design this applicator is. Your designers need to go back to the drawing board and come up with an applicator that works and stays working until the last drop of product is used. Shame on you, Clinique—for this poorly designed product AND your generic responses.
