Q: Is plunger actually made of plastic or old rubber? Sounds like the reviews were describing recycled rubber smell and I KNOW personally it can be nauseating. Truth please.

A: Hi Mia, it's not recycled but it is rubber so there may be a smell to it. It could also be from where it's being stored at the retail warehouse. Hope this helps!

overpowering smell
the set works great, nice color, good size but every time we walk in the restroom it smells like a tire shop or old sweaty shoes that baked in the sun. We have left the plungers in the sun, soaked them in dish soap and toilet bowl cleaner but the smell will not fade.

Plunger has a terrible smell
So I bought this for almost $20 and ended up just throwing it out. Every time I walked in the bathroom I could smell a strong rubbery odor. Because I just moved into a new place it took me a while to figure out where it was coming from. Turns out it was the plunger. I debated returning it but didn’t feel like standing in line and experiencing any of that. “Hey, this plunger I bought smells really bad. Can I get a refund?” lol I’ll pass. Congrats on taking my money.

SMELL IS AWFUL AND STINKS UP THE WHOLE ROOM
It does its job, but THE SMELL!!!! I have cleaned this SO many times after using it once and it has stunk up my entire bathroom. Nothing I do gets rid of the smell, may have to end up purchasing new bc it actually makes my half bath smell so disgusting !!

Worst plunger EVER
My review is probably going to echo others, but I also want to warn people. Plunger is flimsy and splashes toilet water OUT of the bowl. It also stunk and I thought it was a new rubber thing that would dissipate but nope. The brush was actually pretty good, but do NOT waste your money. Unfortunately I had to use it to discover it was awful so it can't be returned. Don't waste your money!!!

Congratulations, Clorox, you have designed the worst plunger in the world. It’s flimsy and truly unable to unclog anything. A light breeze would unclog more than this plastic mess. I can only assume any stars in these reviews that are more than one star are fake by employees. Guess I’ll be awkwardly returning a used plunger…

Terrible odor!
As others have mentioned, this plunger smells awful even tho it’s brand new. Unsure if it’s made from recyclable rubber but it literally stunk up my entire bathroom. Smells like literal sewage, garbage, something rotten. I soaked it in detergent and hot water and scrubbed it and the stink DID NOT BUDGE. lol it would be absolutely embarrassing to return it so sadly this is going in the trash. The brush was okay, just to note. Do not waste your money on this item. Or if you’re brave enough to do a smell check in store, by all means, I would recommend before purchasing.

Toxic odor
The rubber smells really bad, even after soaking in soapy water overnight. Will have to replace it. I also find it kind of difficult taking it out of the caddy and placing it back on.
