I have used cobra products for 50 plus years. However this will be the last time that I will use or recommend them, It all started when I bought the HH RT 50 Road trip radio on cobra website and before receiving it I found the same radio for $10. 00 less and when I contacted cobra I was told that they would not do the price match unless it was done before the prior purchase. My second issue is after I received it and tried it out on my electric wheelchair it was making a loud noise when I was under acceleration, When I made contact with cobra to return it I had to pay for the return shipping costing me more than $25. 00.

Lessons learned when the hurricane hit North Carolina and shut down everything. CB radio was one way to stay in touch unless you’re a HAM radio operator. A great safety investment for the money.

The specification didn't list any ranges. After I purchased two radios to communicate with my family, we found out that the range is only about 1/2 mile at best. Called customer service and the expected range is only 3/4-1 mile. However, I could purchase an additional antenna for $20 to get a little better range. Very disappointed in the range and the lack of advertising the range. I'm not sure who is writing reviews about great range.
