Cobra PX650 Pro Business 42-Mile-Range 2-Way Radios

Great radios. Clear crisp sound, easy to use, solid.

Radios came packed pretty well, put on charger and started reading the directions, the description on website did not say how far they would reach, once in hand it said 25 stories or 300,000ft this model was clearly not going to work for what I want to do. Cobra needs to do a better job on web site of how far approximately the radios will reach.

Excellent little radios so far, very pleased w/ this purchase. Works well with shoulder speaker/mike and covert mic/ear piece. Sound quality is clear, they are easy to use.

To date, these units have performed as we have needed them to in battery life (gets us through a 10 hr. work day), and range (approximately 150 yards through multiple block walls). The only improvement we wish they would consider adding/changing on the units are the need for a more durable and pivoting beltclip; we've broken several of them in just everyday use. Also, the need for a flexible antena; one that doesn't easily break off whenever the radio falls from the belt clip not pivoting. But overall, we areable to complete the needed communications throughout our workday, which we couldn't do before finding these units.

Took forever to get, thank to UPS. I suggest finding another carrier. Had to go pick it up from one of their offices. Maybe allow customer to choose the carrier? Love the walkie talkies!

Is not a good range

They are very easy to use and quality made, we use them at our church for VBS and other functions. Sound is very clear and the range is excellent on our property and building. Would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for radios.

High points are the clarity in what gets transmitted and heard, as well as the range these units have, which are two essential needs for me.

We recently got the set of 6 Cobra PX650 walkie talkies. My husband and I were looking for an economical way to have the kids have a device they could communicate with us on but weren't ready to give the two youngest cell phones or watches that require monthly service or could potentially get damaged or distract them with apps. We have three kids that we allow to walk around our neighborhood of 4 streets and go to friends houses or play in their yards. We finally found the solution after trying these out for two weeks. Geared towards business use, we have found a unique niche use for these amazing products! Our 6 year old grabs a unit and I get a unit and we sync on the same channel and now I can keep tabs on him as he goes from house to house to play. No longer do I have to rely on texting and bothering the moms for updates, I just use the Cobra. He also finds this to be easy to use and fun too! I get way more updates on his whereabouts and what he is doing, whose yard he is in, and I can immediately communicate directly to ask him to head home, and when he walks home he tells me exactly where he is and he thinks its so novel to be using a real walkie talkie. My 9 year old also loves these and she gives me updates as she is walking to her friends house or walking her friends home and I have allowed her to now go ahead of me without me walking behind keeping tabs. She loves the independence these give her. With so many units, the kids are also allowed to let a friend use a unit and have some fun playing in the yard -tag and ghost in the graveyard got so much more fun! My kids have gone through sooo many cheap versions of walkie talkies through the years, needing batteries constantly replaced because they weren't turned off, or got bored because the range was so minimal. The clarity and range on the Cobras are amazing, no static and we have so far gone two streets over with perfect ability to communicate. The charging station is slim and fits in a small nook and the units are ready to go anytime the kids leave the house. I use these in a suburban neighborhood, but I feel like these would also be amazing for rural families with acreage. The units have clips that easily hook to any article of clothing, as opposed to a cell phone that needs a pocket. I also like the ease of knowing my voice immediately is heard through the unit. My 11 year old does have a cell phone, but on numerous occasions she has 'not heard my text or call' come through. From now on her cell phone can stay safely at home, and she will be taking a walkie talkie on her walks with buddies through the neighborhoods. As the weather stays mild, we will be testing the ability of these radios as we branch further on our walks and to the nearby parks, the range is stated at 300,000 sq. ft./25 floors, so will interesting to see how we can push the limits. I just know we are so happy with the peace of mind these units have given us so far ( and soo happy we investigated a product that is one time purchase price without the monthly fee and fear of breakage). Definitely would urge any parents with kids starting to have some independence to walk alone in a neighborhood setting to try these out!

I bought 2 of these for work and the 2.5mm jack is not good broke within the first week. Don't recommend.
