Pulled over with a TruSpeed LTI 20/20 - which apparently are undetectable by radar detectors. Off to traffic school and a $131 fine ;(

This radar detector works great. Operates 360 as advertised, and works very long range. If this detector starts ringing rest assured there is something out there. I am in Florida so I typically only use KA Band and of course Laser. I have one for each car and ordered another for my son as a Christmas Gift this year!!!

I have always owned COBRA radar detectors since I was a teen. Always reliable. Really like the display on the Cobra RAD480i. I will always choose Cobra and recommend Cobra to friends and family.

THE best one on the market at this price point
I’ve been using radar detectors for 20 years. For the last 18 of those 20, I’ve had the same Cobra radar detector. I’m not sure the model, but it’s old. So old part of the display had gone out, but it flat worked. In 18 years behind a Cobra, I only got one speeding ticket but he never hit me with a radar gun because my Cobra never sounded. He wrote me as 72 in a 55. It was more like 90. So I finally upgraded to the 480i. The OLED display is crisp and informative. I like the alerts being customizable as well as the volume of the alerts. The iRadar app that accompanies the radar detector shows great promise and is a neat tool. The car battery voltage checker is a nice finishing touch. I highly recommend it. I’ve had it for a week and it’s already saved me one “uh oh” moment which means it’s paid for itself twice over. Y’all better get one before Cobra realizes they could sell it for twice the price.

Very nice, needs some updates
I purchased this RAD 480i as an upgrade from the original iRAD. It seems to be more powerful and sensitive. Nice style, the menu is much more extensive. The false alerts, though, are much higher then the original unit. Most certainly worth having.. Just be ready to recognize the additional false alerts.
