Cocokind's Beginner Retinol Gel 0.1% is clinically-tested for sensitive skin and made with their Tri-Retinoid Comfort Complex™ to improve the appearance of fine lines and uneven texture without irritation. I'm at the age that I have to start worrying about retinol, so of course I go to my go to brand and try their retinol and OMG it makes my skin feel so smooth and soft. I haven't been using it regularly because I keep forgetting to incorporate it into my night routine, but when I do remember, I wake up and my skin is glowing and feels so soft!

I've always wanted to try retinols but highkey my skin does not do well. I've struggled quite a bit finding a good product and honestly traumatized by how bad of a retinol burn I get. I was extremely nervous trying the beginner retinol gel but super grateful that my skin can actually handle it. It's a good product to get started with retinols and I love seeing the improvements it has done to my acne prone and very textured skin!

I've been consistently using this gel for a little over a month and am seeing marked improvement in my skin texture and evenness of color. I've had pretty severe acne in the past, so I'm always reluctant to try to implement any new/strong products for fear of a reaction. However, I worked my way up to using this nightly and haven't had any adverse effects. I'm using sunscreen religiously now and haven't had any problems with sun exposure. Happy to be able to use retinol at long last and looking forward to easing into stronger retinol at some point in the future.

I have been wanting to try retinol for years now. I am so glad I found this beginner gel because I was able to work myself up to using it every day and then eventually up to the 0.5%. I like the option of the 0.1% because there are days where my skin feels dryer or I feel like I need to rotate between the two to keep my skin from being irritated. This is a great product and such a good way to start out!

I have textured skin due to years of acne. Along with very defined lines on my forehead. I have been using the begginer retinol gel for a few weeks and I have seen such a difference. I use it on and off but I highly recommend this gel. It has the perfect amount of tri-retinoid for sensitive skin.

I was extremely nervous to use this as I have sensitive skin and rosacea. However, I knew it was time to start on my mature skin. I did some research and discovered the "sandwich method". I put on a serum, then the retinol and moisturizer (letting absorb between properly). I only use this 3x per week after using for 6mths. I've noticed less redness, smoother and brighter skin. Highly recommend for beginners.

I am not much of a reviewer, but I just had to thank cocokind for creating an affordable retinol that has literally saved my skin. I had a baby 3 months ago, and between pregnancy, postpartum, and nearing my 35th birthday I didn't recognize my skin anymore. I went from perfectly normal unproblematic skin to extremely sensitive, red, and dry with occasional breakouts. I tried so many products that ended up being influencer garbage that wasted my time and money. Not so with this company and particularly this retinol. I've not been able to tolerate retinols, but not only does my skin tolerate this, I can use it every night. My skin is much more hydrated, glowy, and even now, and it's only been a couple of weeks. Please never stop making this!

I tried using a 0.1 retinol before but my skin was not a fan. Since i'm getting older, I knew I needed something for my skin so I decided to try this product as cocokind is all over my fyp. Started slow and have worked by way up (and will stay) at 3 times a week! Skin is seeing sooo many positive changes such as lighter scars and less lines!

Great retinol for sensitive skin. I've experienced better texture, an anti-inflammatory response, less sebum production and firmer skin. With gradual introduction I think even those with the most sensitive skin can use this retinol. My skin is very sensitive and extremely oily, this has been a game changer, gradually introducing me to the benefits retinol provides. I had a purging process that occurred for 2-3 months. Other users are stating that they think the retinol is causing acne, but I truly believe this isn’t the case and that any increase in breakouts is due to purging. Vegan and cruelty free, truly happy with the product.

Unfortunately, I only got to use this product once. I wasn't aware that the Vitamin A in Retinol can cause headaches and even migraines. I got one of the worst migraines of my life about 90 minutes after applying this product. It's a shame because my skin looked fabulous the next morning. It hadn't been that soft since I was a kid. If you aren't a migraine sufferer, I recommend this product without reservation. If you are sensitive and prone to migraines, proceed with caution.

Game changer! I'm in my 30s and continue to struggle with combo skin and hormonal acne. My physician gave me prescription retinol and after 8 months, my skin was worse. On a whim, I decided to try cocokind’s beginner retinol and noticed a complete difference immediately! After 3 months of use, I still get occasional hormonal acne but it’s significantly less and not cystic. I’ve had several compliments on how great my skin is looking - feels great!
