Cocokind's Beginner Retinol Gel 0.1% is clinically-tested for sensitive skin and made with their Tri-Retinoid Comfort Complex™ to improve the appearance of fine lines and uneven texture without irritation. Retinol, one of the most well-researched ingredients for aging and blemish-prone skin, helps support skin’s collagen and promotes surface cell turnover for a youthful glow. Their retinol complex is further buffered with a soothing blend of aloe and cica to prevent excessive dryness. Packaging is made from aluminum, please recycle it!

Genlte and Effective!
Needed a gentle, over the counter retinol to restart my journey back to Tretinoin post-pregnancy and breastfeeding. My skin is extremely sensitive (even more so now), and this is true to its name in how gentle it is. It helped control my post partum acne that even azelaic acid was struggling to soothe. Just started Tretinoin again so I won’t be needing this for awhile, but highly recommend to anyone with sensitive skin or just starting to dip their toe in the world of retinoids!

Love this for my sensitive skin, acne prone skin! Ive already repurchased. I also purchased the advanced, but I think my sensitive skin likes the beginner version better. I tried alternating them and also mixing them, but I think I will just try using the advanced around the time of my period when my skin tends to freak out, and keep using the beginner for the rest of the time. I used to be on prescription tretinoin but it made my skin too dry. This version feels much more gentle but Im still seeing benefits.

Unfortunately was not for me
I really wanted this to work on my skin and start my retinol journey but I started breaking out everywhere with large cystic acne (I never get cystic acne), I understand the purging aspect of it but it didn't go away for 4+ weeks. I started with applying a pea size once a week and moved onto using it once every three days.

Prefer this over adapelene
I really like how gentle yet effective this retinol is. Whenever I break out or develop texture, this gel resets my skin. I like to apply it after my moisturizer fully absorbs. I've also been able to use it every night without irritation.

Great for sensitive, redness-prone skin
I have extremely sensitive, redness-prone skin. This product has been fantastic - I slowly introduced it into my routine over the last couple of months and I can tell a difference. My skin is smoother, less red, and has more of a glow. I had no reactions, and I now use it 3x per week. A little goes a long way. I am really impressed with this product. Be patient with introducing it in your routine and waiting for results - it’s worth it!

this is a great product for someone who's looking to incorporate retinol into their skincare routine. i've used other retinols in the past and my skin has always reacted poorly to it, but I decided to give this one a try and it does not disappoint! I started using this 1x a week along with the ceramide barrier serum + electrolyte water cream layered on top for the last two months and I am happy with how well my skin has tolerated it. I've already noticed a difference and I'm excited to see how my skin transforms with prolonged used.

Great beginner retinol
So i love this and the stronger retinol they offer, but since I have slacked on retinol the gentler version has been my go to since my skin feels a little more sensitive when I used the stronger retinol (after taking a break). I use this nightly and layer with their serums.
