Universal Skin Solution hypochlorous acid spray is a superoxidized solution formulated with pure, stabilized hypochlorous acid, electrolyzed water and soothing mineral concentrate that purifies, calms and alleviates reactive, sensitized and/or compromised skin. This means once opened, it is best to use the product within 6 months for optimal efficacy. The concentration of muriatic acid (also known as hydrochloric acid) is very small and diluted in this solution. When added to the hypochlorous acid solution, its main function is to maintain the proper pH and HOCI ppm strength for maximum efficacy due to HOCI's high potential for oxidation. Itchy eyes
Broke me out and every time I would use it, it made my eyes VERY itchy. I stopped using it and the itchiness would stop. I returned the product. Not a fan of Prequel the gel cleaner didn’t work for me either. It Made my skin feel hot & turned red.

this facial spray is good, and i’ve seen improvements over time! however, the spray keeps breaking, and i’ve tried fixing it like a million times now. it would either stop working, spray too high up, too low down, or even both at the same time! overall, love the formula, hate the packaging.

I like this product but I won’t buy it again because I had the same issue many others did: the mister just stops working. I have so much product left in the bottle but it doesn’t want to spray anymore. I’ll have to go back to Tower 28 I guess.

Target needs to check products thoroughly before shipping
5 stars for the product and one star for the shipping mess. This is a great product but the issue is delivery by Target. I ordered two bottles of my favorite product--both bottles leaked and the box was wet upon receipt...leaked through a plastic bag that was zip tied. Appears there is an interior top that should be checked as well as the exterior bottle cap. Had to return and waiting on new shipment. Hopefully, 2nd time is the charm. This is really a great product but it seems there are others who've experienced receiving a leaking product as well...so low marks are for the ongoing shipping issues that Target has not remedied for customers.

NOT FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
This shouldn’t be marketed for sensitive skin. It made me breakout and flared my rosacea so badly both times I tried incorporating it into my routine. Look up muriatic acid (it’s in the ingredients)- the use of it in skincare products is limited and strictly regulated and these products should be handled with extreme caution. Not typically used in skincare because it’s a highly corrosive substance that can cause severe burns and damage to the skin.

Mister broke 4 times!!
I used to be a big fan of this product u til they changed the formula and evidently the packaging. I’ve now had 4 of these have the mister quit spraying! I usually buy it in pairs bc my partner and I both use it. We’ve had to switch nozzles to other bottles to make them function and eventually those quit working as well. The spray does not mist in any fashion and if it comes out at all comes out in spurts you have to smear around your face. This product packaging needs seriously reevaluated and until I hear of that happening I will no longer purchase

Nozzle breaks after a month
The product is 5 stars, the packaging is 0. I have now purchased 2 bottles and had both nozzles fail after using 1/2 the bottle. I hope they invest more in the packaging in the future, it’s worth paying a few extra dollars to me to actually use the product up.

Poor Packaging
I love this spray, it works well to prevent my acne and I use it every morning instead of washing my face. However, the spray stopped working after a couple months. I see that this is a problem with a lot of other people. It’s not worth it to buy since it seems to be an ongoing issue. I emailed the company, Prequel, about the issues and they stated they had no current plans to fix this issue but that they would pass along the message to their teams. I am unsure how much they will take this into account considering there have been multiple complaints and 0 action yet. I would buy with another brand if you can as this is likely to happen to most people.

Terrible reaction
My face turned red, itchy and it burned the 2nd time I used this. I've used other hypochlorous acid sprays and never had this reaction. Had to quickly rinse it off and used my old spray to calm my skin down.
