A lightweight liquid emulsion that moisturizes and boosts barrier function. Formulated with a ceramide complex, peptide complex and amino acids, this fluid moisturizer hydrates the skin for dewy, plump and radiant looking skin.

To Use: Shake well. Remove plastic plug on bottle opening. Dispense a few shakes into hands and press into skin. For oily skin, can be used as a lightweight moisturizer. For dry skin, layer underneath moisturizer.

  • A: Thanks for reaching out. To use the Half & Half Fluid Moisturizer, you must first remove the protect plug. The plug prevents the product from spilling out of the bottle. Looking down from the top of the bottle you will notice a notch or 'carve out' that will allow for you to use your fingernail or a tweezer to lift the plug. Once you have it lifted, simply pull it out. We hope this helps.

    Good, but not moisturizing enough for dry skin

    This is a good addition to my routine. It’s not moisturizing enough by itself, as far as I’m concerned for my dry skin, but it’s a good pre moisturizer in an evening routine, depending on what other products you use. With this, I can skip the milky toners and the hydrating serums. I follow with the Prequel AM/PM Modern Moisturizer, which is also not moisturizing enough for my dry mature skin. The duo together is perfect. The only reason for 4 stars, is that I prefer using the Prequel Multi-Quench Serum and the Prequel Barrier Rich Cream combo over this and the AM/PM moisturizer.

    Hydrates skin, for reference I am middle aged and have some texture around my cheeks and nasal area, and my skin just loves this stuff. It is very light weight and the product lasts for a long time in between restocks.

    Half and Half Heaven

    I really love this product I have dry skin and I use it with the am-pm moisturizer. My only problem with this half and half is that the bottle is to small we need a bigger size! This product makes my skin feel so soft and used with the moisturizer I feel hydrated!

    Must Have For Dry Skin

    Light formula but very hydrating. I have spent thousands of dollars on face cream & beauty products. I am not an influencer or promote any products. I do a lot of outside gardening & being in my 50s now I need something that works & my skin soaks this up & I love the way it feels light but mighty! I use this after I wash my face, before bed and early morning as a barrier or have used it alone. If you want something light enough to use as a quick after face wash during those hot days of summer or even on the winter days when you need deep hydration. IMO this is hands down the best I have used. Price is good & I love the product. It has no smell really. Just a milky refreshing hydration that my skin just loves. I use it on my face, my hands, my neck and chest. I have even used it on my elbows and arms. I really like this brand.

    Liquid magic

    It’s hard to believe something this watery can also be so moisturizing. It’s literally thinner than milk, it’s more like skim milk. But just a few drops of milk in your palms and it’s enough to cover your entire face, neck, and chest. I think this bottle might last another five years. My favorite application has been for the dry crepey skin on my neck and under my chin. It feels like a drink of water for parched skin, just make sure to lock it in with something more occlusive after.

    Another great product from Prequel

    This fabulous milky toner is part of my nighttime routine. It's part of my "sandwich" method when using Prequel's retinal at night. I apply it first followed by .1% retinal and finish with Prequel's AM/PM moisturizer. My skin has never looked better using Prequel products!

    Sodium Benzoate

    I really wanted to try this moisturizer, but unfortunately I cannot because it contains sodium benzoate, which I am allergic to. I was also disappointed to see sodium benzoate used as the preservative because vitamin C is a common ingredient in many skincare routines for its collagen-boosting and brightening benefits. Under certain conditions, sodium benzoate can react with vitamin C and form benzene, a known carcinogen. While manufacturers formulate products to minimize this risk, I personally would have preferred a different preservative. I hope the company considers using alternative preservatives in future formulations so the product is suitable for more people, including those with sensitivities like mine.

    This is a game changer

    I love how this calms and nourishes my skin. Such a difference gently pressing it into the skin. At night I add a night cream on top but during the summer months right now for the day it’s all I need.

    Harsh on The Skin & Extremely Comedogenic

    Not for sensitive skin — actually, it's very harsh on the skin. It stings, burns, and makes the skin peel. Huge disappointment. Besides that, the lotion is extremely comedogenic; it has several pore‑clogging ingredients, and the worst of all is Isopropyl Myristate. It's present in the product in huge amounts — it's the 4th ingredient on the list. I can't believe they call this “acne safe.” This is the 4th product I’ve bought from Prequel, and all of them have been disappointments. Now I consider Prequel to be a huge disappointment.

    Fix the bottle text

    Love the feel and texture of this moisturizer, but I hate the bottle design. The text chips off, so I have to grab it with a napkin, otherwise, the bits and pieces will stay on my hand and moisturizer.

    Never stop making this!!!!

    I cannot stress how much I love this product! My derm recommended as a replacement from a very high end known moisturizer in a jar as I was having lots of skin issues and rosacea and reactivity for some time. This the redness serum, an spf and wow my skin is literally glowing from within. Everything I’ve tried before just felt like it sat on my skin until I washed and it went back to rough. This stuff literally feels like it soaks into my skin. Day 1 I was concerned it wasn’t going to be enough moisture compared to what I was using before, but after just a couple of days I could feel the difference! I will buy this over and over, forever.
