  • A: Not a doctor but a rosacea sufferer, also. What bothers one person’s skin could be tolerated extremely well by the next. That being said, I think it’s a very well formulated vitamin C and Dr. Sam Ellis (the creator of Prequel) has rosacea, too.

    Love the brand, struggling with this product

    I love the Prequel brand, but I cannot handle the smell of this Vitamin C serum. It is a very strong unpleasant smell. The serum is also very watery.

    Texture

    I wanted to love this like I do every other product I’ve tried from this brand. But, unfortunately, this was a no for me. It’s so watery that I couldn’t even get it on my face. I ran down my hands on to the sink and floor. Can we please fix that so I can actually use the product?

    Could easily be 5 stars, if not for sensitivity

    I was really hoping to be able to use this, because of the good ingredients which are highly effective, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I’m still giving it 3 stars because the actual product is great compaired to other products 3 times the price (I’m thinking SkinCeuticals with a ridiculous price tag). I personally didn’t notice a bad smell at all with the Prequel, that others have mentioned. This could easily be a 5 star product if it didn’t irritate my skin, but I should have known better with my highly sensitive skin. For someone with normal or combination skin, this would be perfect. My skin unfortunately has definitely become more sensitive since menopause.

    $22 bottle of hot dog water

    Wow I wish I would have read the reviews before I picked this up on a whim. Legitimately smells like hot dog water and is so so thin and runny no serum like at all. Nasty! Will for sure be returning.

    Great Price and Product

    This Vitamin C serum is a great alternative to Skinceutical's similar Vitamin C product, but for a much, much better price. I have tried a variety of Vitamin C products from other companies, and this is one of the best. One caveat, it is very fluid--almost like water. I didn't realize that initially but now I know to pat it into my face quickly.

    just me?

    I can't even give it a review. the smell was repulsive. I'm disappointed because I love prequel products (I use products for rough skin, daughter uses for eczema, and we all love the hypochlorus acid) and wanted to try out the facial skin care. is it just me? a bad batch? I can't return due to buying it on sale.

    Smells like bologna

    Trust the other reviews, this stuff stinks. Someone else put it best: smells like hotdog water/bologna/salami? It is also super watery and hard to apply. Had to rinse it off after a few hours because it was too stinky.

    Needs Work

    First, I use and love several Prequel products recommended by aesthetician. This I decided to try on my own I only used this a couple of times and returned. I just couldn't get past the smell it smells like burned wood. Also the pump/dispenser needs some work hard to control the amount that comes out with the pump so much comes out. Love my other products.

    I wanted to love this serum, but could not get over the smell. It smells awful and the smell does not dissipate when applied. It lingers all day. Finally got rid of the smell with a shower. I do love all the other Prequel skincare products, but this was a huge let down.
