This serum is powered by 1.5% salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid that works on both the skin’s surface to slough off dead skin and within pores to clear congestion. This somewhat helped reduce my acne. However, this serum was very irritating to my skin causing it to become dry and red. I have used the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Breakout serum (another salicylic acid serum), but I have not seen the same results. I still have acne, and my skin feels irritated. I would not recommend this product if you have combination and sensitive skin.

Not sure if I bought a bad batch but mine is all orange and stuck in the squeezer 🤢 i shook it multiple times and tried squeezing it out and couldn’t. Will be returning, I was looking forward to trying it but it just grossed me out. Adding a screenshot from another review of what theirs looks like.

I wanted to love this product so much. I use the coco kind toner, hyaluronic acid & vitamin c and i love them, so I decided to try this. The first few times I used it I didn’t really notice a difference but my face felt soft in the morning. I stopped for a week or so just because and tried it again and it made my face burn/sting and turned red and inflamed. I quit using it again and went to try it one last time tonight and within seconds it started to inflame my face and burn again. I’m not sure why it does this because my skin is use to tretinoin and retinols since I’ve dealt with acne my whole life. I did notice as well the bottom of the bottle says it expires 8/2023…. I bought this product in 8/2023 but also saw other reviews saying the same about the burning so im not sure the cause but I won’t be buying again.

I would definitely give this a try if you struggle with cystic acne. I had a spot that would not come to a head for over a week despite other topicals. After 2 uses of this it finally did. It did dry out my skin a lot, which is to be expected, so I would follow up with a really thick moisturizer!

My skin didn’t like it but my boyfriends skin loves it and it cleared all his acne! You just have to try it out! It is moderately light on the skin, a little tacky but not too bad.

Huge fan of this serum! I have sensitive, PCOS acne skin and this works like a dream to keep my breakouts at bay. It’s non-drying and can be worn under makeup if needed. I use this usually just at night before bed and then layer the texture smoothing cream (also Cocokind) on top. It’s my current go-to and has been for months. I also love the turmeric toner and ceramide barrier serum if you’re new to Cocokind. All of their products are great and I love the transparency!
