Description
La Roche-Posay lightweight salicylic acid acne treatment serum clears acne blemishes and helps prevent new breakouts, while also visibly reducing pores, fine lines, and post-acne marks. This serum includes Triple Acid Complex, a blend of 1.5% salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and micro-exfoliating lipo-hydroxy acid for optimal efficacy. This formula also includes Niacinamide and La Roche-Posay Thermal Water to help soothe skin and minimize skin irritation.

This serum has saved my skin. I’ve been dealing with blackheads, deep closed comedones, and hormonal breakouts for the past 6-8 months and nothing helped until I first tried the LRP effaclar toner. My skin started to clear slightly, but not 100%. Then I tried this serum and it’s really cleared up my active breakouts and the scars/dark spots of previous breakouts. It is a little irritating and drying so it’s best to use it 2-3x a week at first to see how your skin will react. A little redness and dryness is worth the clear skin to me! I’m super happy with the results of this serum.

I was used to the previous version of this serum and I liked it better than this one. I was sad that it’s no longer available. I’m not quite sure yet if it’s effective, I probably need more time to see results, but I like the consistency and the fact that settles in quickly. It doesn’t leave my skin greasy and I use a moisturizer and sunscreen on top of it. I’m suspect because I have used La Roche products for so many years and I really like the quality, it’s a safe brand to go to. For my skin type they have everything I need, including this serum. One could imagine that at almost 44 years of age acne wouldn’t be an issue anymore but kinda it is. I ordered in hopes to achieve a brighter skin as well which I believe it does. So overall I think it does the job.

Helped my acne sooo much. Also improved my skins texture. I just finished my first bottle and ordered two more. After a couple of weeks of using it, I had so many people compliment the smoothness of my skin. I have been using this along with the La Roche cleanser for oily skin, Neutrogena acne pads (day and night), Cetaphil moisturizer at night, and Olay Vitamin C moisturizer 30 SPF in the morning. I have suffered with acne for years and this is by far the best serum I have used! I work as a beauty consultant and always recommend this to me customers who mention similar issues. It also helped improve my acne scars. I didn’t notice an oily texture or bad smell personally, as the low ratings mentioned. A little pricy but definitely worth it. It lasted about a month and a half for me.

I just started using this 3 days ago. It says suppose to reduce acne. It produced three new acne bumps. And it started to slightly tingle and made my skin appear red which claims also for sensitive skin....... As I was previously using a salicylic acid from another brand. It didn't break me out. I will continue the rest of the week to see if there's any change in my skins reaction. At this point I'm disappointed, especially because of of the cost.

I recently switched from using the Dermalogica skin clearing serum to this and am so happy. First, it is about half the price for the same ingredients and it has made my skin SO much better. I have always had oily acne prone skin and this has helped both with breakouts, evening my tone, and with acne scarring! I am a huge La Roche fan (I use moisturizers, toner, adapalene, and eye cream) and so happy to have found this! Only half way through the bottle and already amazing results to write this review!

I'm pleased with this product, my skin has cleared up in the 6 weeks I've been using it. For me, I find it works as part of a routine and is best paired with other products like a cleanser (I use one clarifying and one gentle depending on what my skin needs), toner (I use one hydrating and the La Roche Posay Effaclar Clarifying Toner depending on time of day and other products used), other serums (retinol, vitamin C, collagen) and a good moisturiser (one with SPF, one for days I don't leave home, another for night). Since I'm also using a retinol now, I alternate the time of day I'm using this serum (e.g. if I'm using the retinol that night, I use this serum in the day time). I know it sounds like a lot of work, but I promise the results you see of a good skin care routine are worth the effort.
