Esbenshades gave me a fair price, including shipping! Great customer service, nice alternative to the 'other' option. Nice supporting a smaller business. Items arrived on time and in great condition. I look forward to shopping with them again!

Works as advertised although I use about 1/4 cup for 5 pounds of seed. All but the most determined squirrels will stay away from it after trying it once.

Excellent! Not only works for Squirrel, it works for Fisher, Otter & Bear, too! Take care not to get on your hands/skin/face!!! I HIGHLY recommend this product! I put it on Suet Cakes & Seed. It does not harm Birds; they do not get the burn that other animals do. I was tired of losing my Suet Cages and Seed Feeders. Tired of branches being broken by larger thieves. One mouthful, and they are outta there!

I took the easy way out at first and just smeared the product onto the feeder openings. Never gave it enough time to know if that works. Now I mix it with about 3 pounds of seed in a plastic container, then shake it up. My squirrels and racoons have vanished. I waited a week to post this review...They have not returned. The birds seem to eat as before.

The squirrels were eating all of my bird seed - now they dont go near them. I have more birds than ever. The only problem was that the label should say-in large print-to wear gloves and a face mask! My hands were burning for several days and I coughed all day! Will use again, but with proper protection.

My feeders were being emptied in a single day by squirrels and chipmunks. Two days after using this I have lots of bird visitors and zero furry ones.

This product works great. I mixed it with my wild birdseed and it has kept all squirrels away. Do follow the cautions to wash your hands after using it. I would also recommend mixing it outside, as it has a potent smell and vapors.
A little pricey, but it lights up the squirrels.

This stuff is burning hot be careful when handling, because the bottle can leak and it's hard to get it off your skin and drives squirrels insane. After a few encounters, they can smell it and won't go near your bird feeder or whatever you apply this on. I've experimented with using it on plants that deer go after, too. Birds cannot taste it, so it won't bother them. Docking a star because it's pretty pricey. I'm going to try making my own solution with cayenne next time.
It works !

I pour enough seed to fill my sunflower seed feeder into a flat bottomed plastic bin used by my grocer for salad green mix, add a couple tablespoons of Flaming Squirrel, and stir it up well. I've found if I let it sit for at least several hours the seeds seem to absorb some of the sauce. Then I use an old half-cup scoop to fill the tube feeder. I used to see squirrels hanging upside-down from the feeder stealing the seeds, but no more ! As for flavor, the squirrels aren't talking, but it doesn't seem to bother the birds. I feed mostly cardinals, finches and chickadees. I'm going through seed pretty quickly.

We had become very popular with all the neighborhood squirrels as it seems they could come over and have endless all-you-can eat bird seeds and suets. Well with the flaming squirrel seed sauce it took just one whiff and they went away looking for the food we do provide for them like corn, peanuts, etc. We already have notice how much $$ we have saved in the couple of weeks of using the product. The birds continue to enjoy the food as the sauce does not bother them. Highly recommend this product!

Where I live we have the smaller Douglas squirrels, but they can empty a feeder very quickly! We have tried all manner of shields and feeders to no avail. When I first put Coles in the birdseed, I looked to find a squirrel sitting there having a feast and was so disappointed. I shewed him off, then watched him sit on a stump trying vigorously to clean his mouth and paws. He must have spread the word, since that was over a month ago and I have not seen a squirrel since!

In my battle to protect the birds' food supply from the hated but respected squirrels in my backyard, I've tried and failed many times! I have "squirrel proof" ha! feeders. I've moved the feeders away from trees, hung them in hard to get places. I've made my own red pepper mix. It wasn't until I stumbled upon this menacing looking syrupsauce that I finally found something that works!I read reviews about leaking or cracked bottles being delivered. I was worried, but my bottle was bubble wrapped and packed well. No leaks or cracks.Make sure to wear a glove when handling this stuff. Getting some on you hands doesn't hurt. It's when your hands spread it that things get a little dicey. When you pour this stuff, it looks like blood. I used about a cap full between my two feeders. You basically want to start to see a color change in the bird seed if you've ever had BBQ sunflower seeds, that's the look I got.The great thing about this stuff is that not only does it deter squirrels, but it attracts more birds! That was almost immediate for me! I've even mixed a little of this sauce with my homemade red pepper mix and sprayed my apple tree with it use a mask and dirty clothes. Seems to be working so far!Definitely recommend this to solve your squirrelchipmunk issues. I'll be buying more!
Great for squirrels, but now we have mice eating the seed!

This stuff is amazing!! It has completely stopped our issue with squirrels eating ALL the birdseed!! They tried it once and never returned! The birds absolutely LOVE the seed and our feeder is always full of a wide variety of different species. Now the issue is a fat mouse that has doubled in size-go figure who climbs up the tree and gorges itself on the seed. We havent been able to trap it yet and we are going through birdseed at an alarming rate. I wish this stuff worked for mice, but sadly it does not. One caution. be careful when you are mixing the hot sauce into the seed as the fumes are very strong and irritating to your nose and lungs. I cant imagine its harmful, its just a lot of hot all at once. Also wear gloves when washing the tools used to mix it because it burns your skin. Its like cutting jalapeños, take caution.

I really like this product. I would say 80% works. However, I had one squirrel that still wanted to eat but not as much. Definitely wear gloves when mixing this formula! Just do it. I did not thinking, oh I can do this neatly, and a small amount of formula got on my finger. It took me several washings and lingered even then. Eating a sandwich? You just added red hot pepper. I will order again.

I was ready to do trap and release on squirrels but thought I would give this a try. This is essentially hot sauce you mix with seed. Well, I had a hard time believing it would work but birds really do not sense the heat and squirrels won't go near it. I saw one approach but I guess it got a whiff and decided to pass. Surprisingly, a little bit goes a really long way. A couple of tablespoons covers a lot of seed. Well worth it.
