This is my second time ordering this brush and both times the brush has cracked after the first use! I have thick but soft wavy hair so it wasn’t hard to brush. The bristles itself brush my hair great which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1, but it should not crack after the first use! For the price of this brush it is not worth it.

After 2 days of use the wood started to split at the base of the bristles and got steadily worse by the end of the first week. I bought it for my boyfriend who has short hair so there was no intense use going on. Luckily I was able to get a refund upon return.

Sadly, I have to agree with all of the other 1 star reviews. I have fine, straight hair and the bristles on this brush only smooth over the outermost layer of my hair, not penetrating through and actually brushing all of my hair. It also made my hair staticky when wet. I’m very disappointed. This is my first time writing a Target review just to warn others not to waste your money.

I wrote a longer review but then the website glitched and deleted it. Long story short, I did a burn test on one of the thinner bristles and one on the thicker one. The thinner burned like hair, the thicker melted like nylon. So this is a brush with boar hair in it, not a boar hair brush. And the scratching feeling on my skin probably came from the nylon. If you look at the picutre of the brush, all the bristles that are a little thicker and have a flat cut top are nylon/plastic.

Exactly what I was looking for! My daughter’s curls are unruly. I have several different brushes that I use on her hair. This one takes some time, and patience, but it’s worth it. I was concerned the rubber part on the handle would cling and pull her hair, but it hasn’t. Hopefully that holds up over time. My only warning is make sure you brush the knots out completely by separating hair into smaller pieces. My husband didn’t get all the way through her layers of hair and it was a hot mess lol! All is well now!

I decided to go away from my wide tooth comb and try and actual brush. This brush gave me terrible static and it didn’t even feel like it penetrated all of my hair. My hair is fine and thin and gets poofy in high humidity. Not for me I guess.
