A: you bed frame should have centre support then centre board will work better you can not change only centre board
A: Sorry , we can not replace center board, when you set up slats, it is complusory to have centre support
A: The last picture has a chart. Slats for twin xl, queen and king sizes are all 6 inches apart; slats for all other sizes are 6.25 inches apart, which is still to far apart to provide the support I would need for a bunk bed.

A: Yes, you can adjust by removing slats, still we recommended to measure your bed frame from inside and measure with chart
