Q: Is the applicator plastic?

A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

the applicator is the worst!!! I've use them before and its never been like this. Just opened a box and have gone through about 8 of them not inserting correctly! so frustrating and definitely a waste of money!

It’s not great at all! The applicator is terrible and has hurt me because I’ll end up pinching myself. It doesn’t cover a full 360 in comparison to other tampon brands. It’s not an easy application.

I’ve been using this product for a while (a year at least). However, the company changed the applicator. The part you push doesn’t push the tampon in properly. The bottom/part you push gets stuck on the outside of the tampon part itself. So when you think it’s in, you pull the whole thing (tampon and applicator) out and waste a tampon. This experience is new. But ladies, it’s not comfortable. And you’re paying extra to use organic. Matting last month was a 5, but they changed it.

Applicator is very difficult to insert and at times it took several tampons to get a successful insert. And it does not hold up well especially if you have heavy cycles. Very uncomfortable so you never know if you might be leaking or if it is about to fall out. Do not recommend!

i don’t dislike the tampons themselves but the applicator is a different story. it’s extremely difficult to push and sometimes just won’t push enough to actually insert the tampon far enough in, if at all. once it’s in, the product is nice and i feel like it absorbs well but i just can’t get over the applicator.

The stars are for the fact they are organic :/ these could be really uncomfortable for me at times & cause cramping. There were times I’d have to take it out & put another one in at the right angle & hope it sits right. The biggest & worst thing about these for me is the applicator. Eco friendly, I know but honestly who approved this design? There is ZERO durability to the applicator & they are incredibly flimsy- it’s like I’d have to put together a puzzle, blindfolded, underneath me, with both hands in the toilet bowl while sitting. A couple of times my knuckle touched the inside of the toilet bowl (gag) or the bottom part of the applicator would fall out into the toilet or I couldn’t pinch the top part of the applicator too hard because it would just bend & wouldn’t let me push the tampon in. If I got it to go in, it would only be 70% in so then I’d push it in myself with the applicator which is so uncomfortable. If I was lucky enough sometimes the applicator wouldn’t actually release the tampon & pull it out. Dry… these make having your period & trying to do better way more complicated. You waste your money on the tampons that fall into the toilet or need to be re-inserted alone. I decided to write this after all of these things just happened from the tampon I just put in because I was so annoyed. I actually have to take it out right now because it is causing me quite a bit of cramping. I’d rather free bleed all over the place…

The application is terrible because it’s compact style so I had to make sure it’s pulled enough before inserting so it can release tampon. Sometimes it still won’t release tampon which is frustrating. Sometimes applicator pinch my skin while pushing it. I won’t buy compact tampons anymore eapecially this brand, and I’m going back to tampax.

These are the worst applicators I've ever used. I hate sounding dramatic, but they're so bad I had to warn others. They get stuck, won't release the tampon, and cause so much frustration. Use a different organic cotton brand until they figure this out.

Ugh, I really wanted to like these organic tampons but the applicator is awful. It is slippery and hard to insert- def the most difficult tampon I've used. Will probably donate these.

I've been using these for months now and noticed towards the end of every period I start to get EXTREMELY itchy and inflammed. I thought these were 100% organic cotton, however, the string in coated in Paraffin, which "is a waxy, flammable substance derived from petroleum, coal, or oil shale." Like why can't women have a 100% healthy option?

these are awful, they leak, don’t go in right, and the applicator is terrible it falls apart as your putting it in, “comfort fit” is the complete opposite of these!!! they are also extremely uncomfortable and would cause cramping. stay away from these
