Q: Is the applicator plastic?

A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

submitted byChan - 7 years agoA: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

Q: I am on a search for a new tampon company. A popular brand advertises as 100% organic cotton however has been in quite a few lawsuits. Do you use titanium dioxide in your tampons despite labeling?

Q: FALSE ADVERTISING. why does the product info here say 100% organic cotton but the box ingredients say it also inlcudes "polyethylene, polyester, fiber finish"???--i have photo of box ingredients

No leaking and the best part is that they are organic cotton and free of fragrance and chlorine. The box I received were regular and super sizes. I am so happy to have found a product that is a necessity and at the same time not toxic. I would recommend these tampons and plan to buy other Cora menstrual products in the future.

I don’t think they worked any better than some of the more traditional brands and if anything felt slightly cheap and uncomfortable. I like that these are a cleaner product though and I feel better about using these than others. The actual wrapped tampons are small and easy to hide which is nice for trips to the bathroom at work.

However, there was no leakage. The colors of the packaging are pleasing to the eye, and I like that organic cotton is used.

I always wear a panty liner to catch the leaks, I needed one with this as well, but that’s expected, unless you change your tampon every few hours before it absorbs to its max. I do like the applicator is more compact, but I do wish it was easier to use. I use a tampon that has a “grip” area so it’s easier to hold while inserting. This tampon would benefit from that design. It’s a little awkward once you get further inserted.

Don’t have good absorbency especially if you have heavier periods; the applicator is flimsy and makes the entire process more cumbersome than it needs to be

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The biggest drawback of this tampon is the applicator—it doesn’t glide smoothly at all. However, the tampons themselves were comfortable and absorbent. The box included two different sizes, clearly labeled, which was very convenient.

It came with two sizes regular and super both literally look the same size. You get a good amount of tampons. It’s been a while since I found a tampon that is actually comfortable and no leaks or mishaps! I would recommend.

But, I was pleasantly surprised that Cora tampons are not only comfortable but, I actually cannot feel them. I like the compact packaging and how discreetly they fit in my pocket. It doesn't make a ton of noise when opening it either. They are 100 percent cotton without dyes or fragrances which I truly appreciate. I was a bit out of practice and did not get the first one in enough. But, unlike all the other tampons I have ever used it was not at all painful to remove while still dry. It was completely painless and easy to just try again with a new one. I highly recommend this to everyone but, especially to anyone who has given up on tampons. They truly did make these comfortable.
