  • A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

  • A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

  • A: This is a shame (and a sham) that this brand is trying to advertise that they are a healthier alternative- but they are still using PLASTIC! Plastic will take centuries to biodegrade- use cardboard!

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

These have been my go to tampons for years and this new applicator is absolute trash. It has to be designed by a man bc it never works, it lacks any functionality, absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever used. Please correct this or I will be going back to Honey Pot

Old applicator design was better

The absorbency of the tampon itself still seems fine but the new applicator isn’t great. For me it often collapses down when I’m trying to insert so then I end up taking the cotton out of the applicator and using my finger instead. It’s fine when I’m at home in the comfort of my own bathroom but wouldn’t be ideal in a public restroom. I liked the old design better.

Applicator Fails Frequently

I used to love these tampons as the absorb better than others but the new applicators fail time and time again. The telescoping end falls back in on itself leaving only half the product dispensed. This is too big and frequesnt a failure for me to consider buying again.

Good material, bad applicator

I love that these are organic cotton, but the applicator sucks. Followed the directions exactly and it's so hard to push in. I bled through yesterday because I couldn't get it far enough in. I have used other tampons with this type of applicator in the past and had no issues, but this new one is not good. Would prefer a regular applicator. Will not be re-purchasing, I'll stick with another organic brand.

The applicator won’t release and I wasted 3 trying. Love the brand but the last several times purchasing the functionality has been off. So sad that this would ruin a brand that’s trying to do better for women.

Complain directly to the company

AWFUL new design; wrote to the company I was so offended by the new design. Still waiting on a response, but I encourage others to please reach out directly to the company in order to facilitate change/complain. The new applicator does not work effectively, and I have wasted and had an absolute mess trying to get them to work. We pay a lot of money for these personal hygiene products, but when they are this difficult to use, it leaves us with limited options or making the choice to switch brands. I wish I would have read the reviews before buying these, but I typically buy these on regular basis and did not really think anything of it with the “new design”. Again, please reach out to the company directly and complain in order to make waves of change!!!

Worst applicator ever!

I used to love these tampons, but after the applicator was redesigned it’s awful! I wasn’t 6-8 tampons every box. Sometimes I get lucky and I’m able to fix it and save the tampon but the old design was much better. I won’t be buying these anymore. Waste of money.

AWFUL RE-DESIGN

The new applicator is awful! Doesn’t work and you end up having to toss them when they stay stuck in applicator. Waste of money and stressful trying to make it work.

NEW APPLICATOR DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to love these tampons, but the new applicator does not work at all. I wasted four tampons today. The part that is supposed to push the tampon out of its enclosure is broken into two parts that pull out and lock into each other, but they don’t lock properly/are not strong enough to actually apply the pressure to release the tampon without collapsing into each other. So annoying and a waste of money.

Terrible "updated" design

Awful awful awful. The new applicator is terrible—even when “clicked”, it doesn’t hold and stays in the applicator after inserting. I’ve never been so dependent on a product (national park hiking) and has a product fail me so.

Comfortable, Reliable, and Worth the Switch

I've been using Cora tampons for about four years now, and I don't see myself switching back. I originally started using them after realizing I was sensitive to ingredients used in some other brands, and these have been a much better fit for me. The improved applicator is amazing and makes insertion smooth and comfortable. The tampons themselves are comfortable to wear and don't cause the irritation I experienced with other products. I also find them very reliable for absorbency and leak protection. As long as I'm changing them regularly, I've never had issues with leaks or breakthrough bleeding. I appreciate that they're made with organic cotton, and the quality has been consistent every time I purchase them. If you're looking for a comfortable, dependable tampon and have sensitivities to other brands, I highly recommend giving Cora a try.

Stay away

I wish I would have seen the reviews before I purchased. I ordered for pickup and didn’t realize there was a new applicator until I got home. The design is horrible and I will be switching to a different brand if the applicator isn’t fixed.
