  • A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

New applicator is awful

I used to love these tampons but the new applicator is awful. I cannot get the tampons in to save my life. I have tried everything and have wasted over 15 tampons trying to get them in and they won’t release. Had a good cry stuck in the bathroom this morning because I couldn’t get the tampon to release.

Great tampon!

I’m so upset about the new applicator! I cannot get tampon to come out to save my life. I even watched people on Tik tok demo them, they do not work that way at all. It only comes 1/4 of the way out and is completely useless. I loved the prior to this applicator change. I’m so sad that I can no longer use them, because they were such a great cleaner alternative.

always leaking, pinches when inserting

I think whoever designed these has never used their own product. I always have to wear a pad as backup and when pushing the plunger into the barrel it can cause a pinch down there because of the rim on each piece their designer felt was necessary rather than many of the other sleek designs out there. Hopefully they've changed the design as the picture if the product is not what I purchased.

Compact and comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Cora tampons are a great alternative to to the Tampa pearl that I normally use. They come in a nice compact discrete packaging. They are easy to insert and are comfortable for hours. I like that the box comes with 2 fits depending on your flow and time of cycle. Would definitely recommend.

Ruined a good thing

Why did they change these?? The applicator in the last couple months is different so now it only sends the tampon out 1/4 of the way, so you have to insert it manually most of the time (ew). The tampons themselves also seem to have changed? They are tiny and constantly leak.

Sorry to hear the applicator has been giving you trouble. To get the tampon to release properly, the inner tube needs to be pushed all the way until you feel a click, which locks the applicator into place for full insertion.
