Q: Is the applicator plastic?

A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

submitted byChan - 5 years agoA: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

A: Hello, great question. We use peroxide, not bleach, to clean the organic cotton in the tampons.

The packaging is nice and discreet, easy to fit in pocket. The applicator took a few tries to get comfortable with, but was easy to figure out. I just needed to slow down a little bit since it was different from what I was used to. The absorbency was comparable to other brands I have tried. I will definitely buy these again!

The best quality is that I find that they offer me leak proof protection. The size that I got was Regular and they come in a compact plant-based applicator which is better for our environment. I have a heavy flow and have to change very constantly. Well, using these I felt like they lasted longer than other brands I’ve used.

I love Cora products and bought these without reading reviews. But these are terrible! The applicator doesn't push in all the way, and i think it snags on the end, so the tampon didn't go in far enough, which is extremely uncomfortable. It expands flat, not 360 like most tampons, which makes removal more difficult and uncomfortable. I wanted to love these as much as their pads, but the quality is not good. I'll stick with the competitors tampons.

I usually use tampax and didn’t find these so materially different (except that many less come in a box). I had no issues with these but they didn’t really add too much to the period experience to convince me to switch to this brand full time

Had to wear a panty liner with them so I would say they are better for the very light days or for people that are light on a regular basis. For the normal flow or heavy absolutely I would not wear. them then. I do like the natural feel to them. Wish they absorbed better for me.

It slides in with no effort or resistance. I like that it was collapsed so much easier to carry around and more discrete. It absorbs well, is very soft, and comfortable to wear for a long period of time, barely noticed it was there.
