Q: Is the applicator plastic?

submitted by Indigo - 8 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

  • A: This is a shame (and a sham) that this brand is trying to advertise that they are a healthier alternative- but they are still using PLASTIC! Plastic will take centuries to biodegrade- use cardboard!

    submitted by2legit2quit - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes they are in a normal plastic applicator.

submitted byChan - 8 years ago
  • A: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

Q: Do you use wax or paraffin in your tampons?

submitted by S Han - 9 months ago
  • A: Yes, we use a paraffin wax on our tampon string to make removal more comfortable. Hope this helps!

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

submitted by Megan - 2 years ago
  • A: We recommend starting with the Regular/Light pack and see if that suits your needs before trying the super tampon.

Q: I am on a search for a new tampon company. A popular brand advertises as 100% organic cotton however has been in quite a few lawsuits. Do you use titanium dioxide in your tampons despite labeling?

submitted by Cam - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for the question! We do not use titanium dioxide in our tampons. Hope this helps!

Q: FALSE ADVERTISING. why does the product info here say 100% organic cotton but the box ingredients say it also inlcudes "polyethylene, polyester, fiber finish"???--i have photo of box ingredients

Q: Is the cotton bleached?

submitted by hello - 6 years ago
  • A: Hello, great question. We use peroxide, not bleach, to clean the organic cotton in the tampons.

Painful and cheap feeling

I tried to give them a chance because I wanted something that’s safe for my body. Unfortunately they hurt, they’re uncomfortable, and they’re super flimsy packaging. I’m so disappointed, I would never recommend them given how much they hurt once I did take them out

Great tampons!

I’ve been using these for awhile now. The applicator isn’t complicated. I think these are fake reviews or operator error. I love that they’re 100% cotton with zero additives. Worries about odor? Take a shower or go see your doctor. It does the job

Poor applicator design / function

The tampon gets stuck in the applicator, making the whole tampon a complete waste/unusable. Happens very often with this brand. Will not be purchasing again.

Sorry to hear you're having a difficult time with our compact applicators. Quick tip: extend the applicator until it clicks – that means it's all set to go. To see it in action, watch this: http://bit.ly/coracompactapp Also, if you are having issues with the tampons fully expelling, make sure that you are pushing the inner tube all the way up into the outer tube until the bottom of both tubes are touching. Hope this makes things easier for you!

Hi there, sorry to hear you have having trouble with our compact applicators. Please make sure you are extending the applicator until you hear a "click." The applicator doesn’t work well for me at all and had to toss the tampon right away because it doesn’t sit correctly. I came to see if others were having that experience, and sadly it seems to be the typical experience with these. I love the organic cotton, but I definitely won’t be purchasing again because of the ineffective applicator.

cardboard tampons or free bleeding is better than this

i’m not joking that i prefer a cardboard tampon or free bleeding to these tampons. the applicator is absolutely TERRIBLE. you have to handle it very carefully or it will fall apart and you have to throw away a brand new tampon because now i can’t insert it. the times i do manage to insert it and push the applicator all the way in, the tampon doesn’t even dispense properly from the applicator. so it either comes out with the applicator or i’m stuck with a tampon that’s not properly placed INSIDE of me. now i have to pull it out DRY because of the discomfort. the times that the tampon does insert correctly, it doesn’t even control the bleeding. i’ve tried the super plus even on light days and still get spotting. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!!!

The compact applicator is difficult to hold on to, and sometimes doesn’t dispense correctly causing me to toss a new tampon. I’m going to use up this package but would not recommend and will not be repurchasing.

Super applicator fails

I thought I would try a new brand after using L. Organic for years.. I’m so sad I wasted my money on a poorly designed product! The super tampons will not come out of the applicator while in your body. There’s nothing to hold onto of it just collapses. The regular tampon applicator is different and has a lip to hold onto and works fine. Will never purchase again.

Love these, ignore the bad reviews

I’m not usually someone to write reviews, but I’m really sad to see such bad ones left on this product. It’s really important to be aware of the ingredients found in tampons because they are literally being inserted into our body. Cora is a great 100% cotton brand and I refuse to switch to anything else. As for the comments on the applicator, I very rarely have issues, and even if it does get stuck, it takes like two seconds to fix and still be able to insert. Again, ladies, it’s very very important to be aware of what we’re putting in our body and stick to a brand that is truly 100% cotton. I also love that this is one of the more affordable brands that are nontoxic and organic. The super is great for my first 2 days of heavy flow and it lasts all night. Sometimes I wake up and I’ve leaked, but that’s only when I’ve slept longer than eight hours and it’s usually just the first night. If you have a heavy flow, maybe use a panty liner if you sleep with them inserted and definitely use super. (Note for self LOL) I love these tampons. Don’t listen to all these really bad reviews on here. <3 Oh and they never smell. I forgot that even used to be a thing with some other brands.

Flop

These do not work. You have to take it out and push the tampon by yourself. It doesn’t absorb much either like most super. Won’t buy again.

Like that it’s organic but I swear the Supers are not equivalent to other Super on the market. They don’t expand and don’t absorb enough!

Super is defective

I’ve purchased this brand multiple times and I’ve liked it until the last box i purchased. Every single Super tampon got stuck in the plastic, only the tip would expose as I attempted to insert. I wasted 10+ tampons from trying to use it. When i would pull it out to remove the plastic, the cotton was still attached. This caused me to have to leave the restroom without anything due to defective tampons

If you’re having trouble with our compact applicators, make sure to extend it until you hear a click — that’s when it’s locked and ready. You can check it out here: http://bit.ly/coracompactapp And if the tampon’s not fully coming out, push the inner tube all the way into the outer until the bottoms touch. Hope this clears things up!

TERRIBLE

These are the absolute worst tampons I’ve ever tried. I wanted to try a new organic tampon, but I surely did learn the hard way that these don’t expand at all! I bled everywhere and ended up just buying the old reliable Tampax Pearl. I highly recommend you don’t waste money buying these. These are horrible.
