This pergola has been amazing for over my hot tub. It keeps the rain off so that I can enjoy the hot tub in all weather. I only gave 4 stars because the fabric fasteners are not the strongest and do not hold up well from the wind. I knew this would probably be the case and plan on replacing the fabric with a more permanent top when the fabric is no longer useful so I wasn't too concerned about it. The frame is decent and does what I need it to.

If you live in an area with rain, reconsider this. Unless you take off the shade every time it’s expected to rain, it’s not a good idea. The rain pools of water and it’s a pain to drain it off. It’s also bowed in some of the beams. I bought a different canopy from Amazon that lets water through so it doesn’t collect. The shade was excellent and it did look nice on my deck.

Great value for the price. I customized (2) to fit my pergola. These are otherwise simple to assemble with the right tools. This item is fairly light and I would recommend extra securement in windy areas. Don't plan on any of these holding up to snow load. Should last many years. The poly panels are easily replaceable.

I'm only giving this 4 stars because one of the legs was missing 2 inserts that that corner face plates screw into. Other than that it was easy assembly, tje instructions are diagrams so pay attention to the direction the parts are facing. I love how it turned out. I especially like the 2 row tracking system for the curtains and each side has its own opening. Overall pretty waterproof when the roof is closed. I secured it to the deck. No issues and worth the cost.

Let me start that I was very impressed with the packaging, there is no way anything could be scratched. Everything was wrapped and packaged better than I ever expected. Materials were again better than I expected. The aluminum, though on the lighter gauge but by no means cheap. Putting together was relatively easy and all holes lined up. Very impressed with the engineering of how everything went together. I put it together in an afternoon and fastened to my deck and the very next day had 50mph winds, was very concerned on how it was going to hold up. The louvers were flapping on the big gust but all held up very well. As I am writing this review we are sitting under pergola with louvers closed in a lot of sun and sitting in the shade just as we hoped it would do. We absolutely love this pergola but time will tell as far as how long it will last. It has only been up for one week but as of now it gets a 5 star plus! It has exceeded our expectations at this point.

Well packaged and labeled. Communication with the seller has been excellent. All parts were in the box and each box had a list of items in that box. Directions were good. We had a team of 7 people and completed the 14 x 20 pergola in 4 1/2 hours.

This product exceeded my expectations. The shipping and delivery were ahead of schedule, and everything was in perfect condition when unboxed. The instructions require 4 people, but my son and I completed assembly in 4 hours. It very much surprised me last night when a thunderstorm came through the area. I sat underneath during the storm and stayed dry. There were times during the assembly when it was obvious that the designers had added features to make the assembly go smoothly. For example, the louvred panels took less than 15 mins to snap into place. We highly recommend this product.

This is SO cute! Just what I wanted. We had 2 tornadoes here in Ga right after we put this up and I was so scared, but it held up even with the rain and wind! I was stoked!! It took 2 days to put up (half days)instructions were ok. Now the structure was off some my poles are a bit bent but I'll make it work especially with the awesome price so. Any way here a a few pics can't wait for my furniture!

This pergola was a great investment and addition to the new backyard! My brother was in need of something for his backyard and we started looking up pergolas. This specific item we came across and the size was perfect. It came within a few weeks with no damage to the box, which I was particularly worried about. Everything came as described and a full set of instructions to build together. Out of the box, we have every piece of equipment labeled. It was well organized and took three of us to build with four of us to hang up the pillars. Note, that this takes patience. We did it in the hot sun and had trouble on certain areas of attachment. It is imperative to screw everything straight and not have any loose ends. One part that is not straight will affect the other pieces attached to it. We had a really difficult time screwing in one particular hole. We found there to be some blue gunk/residue that was not coming off and impeding our way to tighten the screw. That is the reason for minus a star. We managed to finish the set up and overall enjoyed how it came out. It was very sturdy, great material, strong, and looked amazing. This pergola comes with louvers that are adjustable with a twist from the handle. It can open and close creating a shade or more light to the area. We really like it a lot and super happy with the purchase.

Overall quality looks good and description was accurate. It took two people several hours to put together and didn't come with anchor bolts. Packages were separated in shipping and we were not informed how many were coming, so our installers had to return. We are happy with the finished product so far.

It's beautiful. A weekend DIY project. We were very excited to use it till it rained. The middle connectors where the two beams meet are leaking on both the edges for us. I so dearly wanted it to work, but unfortunately the water leaking (esp. in the Pacific Northwest where we get frequent rain throughout the year) is not an option for us. I will reach out to the seller, if he / she can offer any support for fixing this. Will update my review after.

Well made, waterproof. I assembled it alone and it took about 6 hours. One problem. There is a small package of screws attached to the large hardware card. Open and read the note before you do any assembly. I did not. Apparently they want you to use the bagged shorter screws not the ones on the card as the instructions show. I followed the instruction book and used the longer screws and could not remove them later to substitute the shorter ones. The longer screws had bottomed out and it damaged the threads so they could not be removed. I just left them in. Aside from that it was a straightforward assembly and I really like the pergola. Boxes arrived together with no damage.

Great structure! I bought this to replace the existing one that I built by hand 5 years ago and I got to say, this was such a easy install! The whole system came in 3 big boxes. Everything was packed really well and labeled in alpha letters with written instructions so it was easy to identify and put together. Everything was put together in a matter of about 2-3 days with 2 people. All screws and pieces went in great and all aligned up. I didn't have to modify or adjust any holes. Overall great product and was well designed. It looks great once it is done and seems sturdy as well. You can attach it to the wall for added stability and it came with all the necessary brackets to do so. Very impressed and glad I bought it. Recommended!

This was a good purchase for the price. The instructions were clear. Assembly was easy with everything clearly labeled. I would suggest you follow the instructions closely and keep the pieces labeled until final assembly. I was pulling the labels off during assembly and ran into a problem. The design seems strong. I have only completed the assembly today, so do not have any history with the weather yet. I had one dent on a post that I had to straighten out. The packaging seemed to protect everything well, so I assume this was dropped during shipping. I am looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy my new purchase.

The pergola shade works well, and the installation requires some patience but is quite stable. The blade adjustment is flexible, ventilation and lighting can be taken into account, and rainy days remember to timely close to prevent water accumulation. Overall practical, suitable for the pursuit of cost-effective families.

I love its very sturdy and great quality! The louvers can open on each side and let it light. It was a big upgrade and so far has helped shade my yard in the Arizona sun. It took about 5 hours to build and did need a few hands to hold the posts while I put it the cross sections. I would use a ratchet or drill with an Allen wrench as there is a bunch of Allen bolts. I do love the shade curtains but as with anything in windy days it can fly around so I just put furniture up against the posts and it does great. Also if you don't want to use the curtains or big netting you don't have to and only takes a few minutes to remove if needed. I don't have it anchored in and have had a few very windy days. It has held up great and hasn't moved.
