Plugged it in and tried it out; it produced a nice heat, so I let it run to warm the room, which it did well . . . for about an hour. At which point it abruptly shut off completely (even the little LED showing that it's plugged in winked out) and could not be coerced into restarting. I let the room (and it) cool significantly, I switched outlets, I confirmed that the outlet it was plugged into still worked, I inspected the cord and the rest of the device. Nothing. It just refused to work.
