Pleasantly surprised - higher quality than I expected
I rarely adjust the height so can't comment on the durability/consistency of the motor. The quality is much better than I expected given the price. I thought the fact that the desktop is not one "board" but two "boards" would make me uncomfortable with the seam between the two boards, but I didn't notice it because it didn't affect my writing area. My monitor and laptop are on the other half of the desktop.

The perfect adjustable desk for tall people!
My 6'2" fiancé works from home and the SMUG standing desk is a perfect fit for him. It easily adjusts to the right height, allowing him to comfortably switch between sitting and standing positions throughout the day. The desk feels sturdy, well-made, and installation was quick and easy. It really helped him improve his sitting posture and work more efficiently. Highly recommended if you need a versatile and durable standing desk - especially for taller users!

Transformed my space - stylish, sturdy, and unexpectedly fun
bought this desk for my small studio and it instantly makes the space feel larger and brighter. I walk in and think, "This thing is so clean." It has a sleek, minimalist look that makes everything around it feel more intentional. It's sturdier than my previous desk. It doesn't wobble when typing or leaning on it, which is important if you're working for long periods of time or just need a stable environment. The lift is smoother than I thought it would be - so smooth that I used it like a toy. I accidentally knocked a painting off the wall on my first day. It was totally my fault. Been switching between different chairs all week just to see which one would go best with it. Haven't decided yet. Only had it for a week but it feels like a part of my daily routine. If you're still on the fence, buy it. It looks nice, feels solid, and makes you want to sit down and get work done.

Perfect for our corner area
Perfect for our area. It comes with a monitor stand, and I used one, so I could tuck the KVM adapter under the stand to save space. I was worried about stability at first, because the steel frame is thin. But once assembled, the stability of the table is very good. No problems with the quality of workmanship: all the parts (and some extras) are complete, and the instructions are easy to understand. Pay attention to the direction of some holes on the metal frame, because other frames need to be mounted on these holes. Anyway, there is only one way to assemble it, so please check the drawings carefully.

This desk is pretty solid overall. I got the 63" model, which fits a 24" and a 32" monitor, speakers, keyboard, and a mid-size ATX case. There's plenty of room. Assembly was actually pretty simple, nothing complicated. The only downside is that you need to use a hammer to knock the two bars together. The bars have some "tooth"-like parts that snap into each other, but you can't just push them together by hand. The instructions say you have to hit the teeth with a hammer (the desk comes with one) until they snap together. It can be pretty noisy, so don't assemble it at night. Everything else, like the screws, plates, base, and latches, is pretty simple. Quality-wise, it's decent. There are some minor dents here and there, but that's probably from shipping/handling. Other than that, it's pretty solid. If I need a new desk in the future, I might consider this company again.

Love this table! Great quality, very sturdy. I got the rustic brown color. The size is perfect for me...the tabletop is a little smaller than I would like it to be wide, but overall I love it. It was a bit fiddly to assemble, even with two people...be sure to get the metal pieces oriented correctly when assembling, as some have holes on one side and not the other. One part of the table is against the wall, and the other sticks out like an "L" shape. You can choose which side to put against the wall. Great value for the price. Highly recommend.

Worth buying.
The desk itself was easy to assemble. It came packaged very securely and in a small box. I appreciated that the desk itself came in two parts which made it easy to carry the package up the stairs. The assembly process took about an hour since I took my time. After assembling everything and testing it, only one side would lift. I had to step back a few times and adjust the legs. It wasn't difficult to fold back the steps. Once I adjusted the position, the desk worked fine. So far, I like how much it can hold, even though it is a 40x24 sized desk. I like being able to use the treadmill underneath while I work. It's a large desk, but not so large that it takes up too much space in the room. I haven't used the hooks yet so I can't speak to that, but it seems to be fine for what it does. This is my first standing desk so I'm not sure how the motor will perform, but it's pretty quiet. So far, the desk seems pretty stable and doesn't wobble even when it's at its highest position. The desk was easy to move once it was assembled and it doesn't seem that heavy. Is it comfortable? It's a desk. It fits my crisscross chair underneath and it's pretty comfortable to work on. For the price I can't say it's a bad purchase. Hopefully it lasts a bit longer.

We have bought two of these tables. Excellent value for money. Instructions are clear and easy to follow with clear pictures. Hardware is high quality and very sturdy once assembled. Durable countertop and tabletop are easy to clean. I will buy at least one more.

Great little table
needed a desk that was sturdy but a little smaller. None of the parts were damaged when I took it out of the packaging. It was fairly easy to assemble, but it took a little time since I was doing it myself. The only difficult part during assembly was that the back panel had to be in the perfect position for the top to fit perfectly. I didn't like how the drawers didn't seem to extend completely after the drawer guides were installed. I simply drilled new holes in the guides so that the drawers would extend completely. Once assembled, the desk felt very sturdy and was easy to move on the wood floor. The drawers opened and closed easily and the drawer guides were very smooth. I noticed that the front panel of one drawer was loose when it was opened. I guess it was a mistake on my part during installation rather than a problem in the manufacturing process. It was easily fixed with a little glue. Overall, I am very happy with this desk. It looks great in the room and I like being able to access everything I need when working on my computer.

A quality small desk set at an affordable price
I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about parts breaking, shattering, or otherwise getting damaged after unboxing. I can't understand why, because the box for this set is very well designed, with foam padding on the inside, reinforcement on the outside, strapping to keep the box intact during shipping, and solid foam bumper protection on each corner of the outside of the box. The shipper would have to weigh the box down pretty heavily to really damage the contents. Upon arrival, I unboxed and inspected all the parts, and they were all intact, and it's hard to see how the parts inside the box could get damaged unless the box itself was crushed or badly damaged. As far as furniture sets go, this one was packaged better than most. As for the set itself, it's a classic Danish/Swedish style set furniture design, just like an IKEA set. If you've never assembled a furniture set like this, then you'll need to read the assembly instructions carefully, or you'll have to do some disassembly and rework. If you have experience with IKEA furniture sets, then you can be confident that this set will work without much difficulty. The instructions are also in the classic Danish/Swedish style of furniture sets, and are easy to understand as long as you read them carefully and be patient. Note: The tabletop is rated for 55 pounds, so it's sturdy enough as long as you don't try to climb on it (which you definitely shouldn't do with a kit like this). The drawers are rated for 7 pounds, so don't expect to use them to store bricks or heavy books. These are normal for a kit like this.

Now I don't know why everyone hates this desk. This desk is great. Especially since I'm starting school soon and this desk is just too good to be true. Yes there are a few scratches but they are either from the factory, delivery or the builder. B. This desk is great for work so no issues. All in all other than a couple of scratches this is a great desk. They are barely noticeable and there are no issues (no need to replace parts, everything fits. Just need to fiddle with it so it lines up). I helped build stuff in college so I know how things are to some extent. Please order this desk. I have one scratch that I probably broke when I moved it and two small scratches because of the shelf that I can't even see anymore. So yes it's definitely worth the price to get this desk. Everyone wants a new desk right now and this desk works great especially if you go to IKEA and they are all sold out. This desk is about the same price as what I bought at IKEA so yes. I would recommend this desk. Just because of a few barely visible scratches doesn't mean 1 star. I gave it 5 stars because like the scratches, you can really hate it for a tiny scratch. If it was damaged and needed a new one but it was just a tiny scratch, I understand. Really. I know this post is long but it just helps you not believe every review you see that has one scratch making it 1 star. Other than that it is worth it. Starting school and needing more space to do projects and study and for this space it is totally worth it. Plenty of room for all my school supplies plus some room for more. (On the bookshelf) I set it up as the first one so they don't open as much but still open enough for me) I have 4 books on the small bookshelf and they are totally fine. So this desk is totally worth it because no other desk has.

Poor quality
The wood quality is not great and it cracked/fell apart when I built it. I followed all the instructions and it didn't turn out strong at all.
