Q: I don't like the color of the cushion. How hard would it be for me to remove it and recover it? Is it easy to reattach?

I’ve been looking for something exactly like this and for the sale price of $67 (not sure if it’s ever not on sale), it can’t be beat. The combination of bench and shoe storage just doesn’t exist at this price point that I could find. Or I may have found some options that were just extremely ugly. The pictures are true to life and the bamboo is a great balance of quality and inexpensive material. I have it in my mud room. It’s not something I would want on full display somewhere more formal in the house but that’s not what an open shoe rack is for. Assembly (I’m told) was difficult to do with one pair of hands but it got done.

Very sturdy. Assembly wasn’t too bad, I was able to put it together myself. If you run into an issue where the screws are too short for the bottom of the cushion try flipping the (6) panels.

The product was termite infected. Lot of powder was falling when we opened the package. We could see wood eaten by white ants. It was scary. Never thought the product would be so poor quality and Target selling such poor quality product.

The instructions in the package were wrong. After I finally asked the customer service to get the instructions, I found that there was a crack in one of the parts after almost the assembly was completed. I asked for the parts to be sent to me, but the supplier did not provide it. I have been asked to return the assembled item for the replacement. What a waste of my time…

Bought on sale and worth it. Fairly straightforward installation for one person though having one extra hand to keep a piece in place would be better. Feels very sturdy and comfortable. I’m 210 lbs and it doesn’t feel like it’ll give away every time I sit on it.

This bench/shoe rack is very nice quality and easy to assemble. To address the other reviewer's comment about the screws not being long enough to affix the cushion to the bench -- the three pieces that go along the top need to be in the correct orientation for the screws to go in (it's not super clear from the instructions). If they're flipped the wrong way down, the screws will seem to be too short. Luckily because these pieces don't screw in, it's easy to fix if you accidentally put them in the wrong way first.

It is impossible to affix the cushion to the wooden frame with the screws provided because the screws are too short.
