Disappointed in quality
I like the design of this product, but that’s why I gave it 1 star…putting it together took forever and the tiny little screws stripped every time I tried to attach them to the piece. 4 months later…the finish is stained, even though my daughter only uses washable markers, and the entire top lifts up when any pressure is put on the extended table top sides. We will have to resort to screwing this together after-the-fact to avoid injury.

Difficult to assemble
Instructions were inaccurate. You must put shelves in before final step of assembly.

Looks nice, but looks can be deceiving!
I wanted this table because of the built-in shelves. We have family game night, and I thought the shelves would work great for holding the games. Plus, it was round and small enough, yet big enough for our needs. The quality is very poor. The hinges are weak, and the supports for the fold-down sides do not keep them up evenly. We ended up giving this table to our kids who are starting out on their own, and when they put it in the truck to move it, the legs came off, and the rungs between the legs came off! The chairs are great - no complaint there - just not super comfortable!

Crack & Scratch - Received Discount
I love the table & the way it looks in my space. I was disappointed because one of the shelves has a crack in it & there are 2 scratches on the top. I had been without a table for so long & had already paid a contractor to come put it together which was very complicated & took him 2 hours. I didn’t want to have to pay him to take it apart again or wait for another table to come so I have decided to see if he can do the repairs. When I complained a very nice customer service rep, Mary, gave me a 20% discount which made me feel better about it.

Cute but poor quality
It’s very cute but not made well. We don’t use it much so it’s fine for us. But I wouldn’t recommend if you plan on actually eating at it frequently.

Disppointed!
Love the concept but extendable leafs were flimsy and not steady. So not able to use as a full dining table.

When this table went on sale, I excitedly added it to my cart. I liked the concept of the drop leaves, the 48 inch diameter, and the two shelves for basket storage, etc. I built this table on a Thursday, but the chairs I ordered separately didn't arrive until the following Monday. The day after, with only one day of light use, as my 2-year-old was sitting at the table near an end where a leaf was extended, I noticed that the leaf was dipping slightly. Upon further inspection, I realized that 3 of the plastic bases the manufacture installed to screw the camshaft bolts into had pulled away from the table, and so 1/2 of the table top was no longer secured onto the base. So disappointed! Concerned for the safety of choosing to continue using this table, it will be return - the hassle of which - disassembling the table, repacking the table, and transporting the table back to my nearest Target - will be well worth having my money returned.

Perfect for a small space, eat in kitchen
We were looking for a small, versatile table for our kitchen, and thought this fit perfectly. It was very close to Pottery Barn's Shayne Table, but not Pottery Barn price. The item came in 2 boxes, a day earlier than the order confirmation stated. The instructions were not too bad, if you were used to putting Ikea furniture together. It states that it should take about 30 minutes with 2 people. In reality it was probably 45 minutes. The table is not solid wood, but it fits what we were looking for. I would not recommend it for a main dining table, but for a small casual space in your kitchen.

As a previous reviewer stated, the table top is AWFUL. The leaves are not sturdy at all. Even putting a ceramic plate down makes them bend a little which is ridiculous. We had to buy extra support to stabilize the leaves. Yes this is a very affordable table, but in this case you're definitely getting less than you pay for. I would NOT recommend this table to anyone who wants to have more than two people sit at the table.

Missing parts
It would have reseived 5 stars if it came with all of the hardware required to put it together. It's missing the hinges and the screw covers.

Lovely, versatile, affordable table
After searching for weeks for a dining-height versatile style table, I saw this table listed across several websites including target.com. With the table on sale and an extra discount for furniture, I ordered this table and anxiously awaited its arrival. It was shipped within a few days of ordering (likely because it was coming from a 3rd party distributor instead of directly from target?) and arrived several days before the beginning of the expected arrival window in two large, somewhat heavy boxes. I was annoyed that the shipper left the boxes in the lobby of my building instead of delivering them to my door, but they were not too heavy for me - as a fairly strong female - to move down the hall to the elevator and down another hall to my condo unit. The table was packed well inside of the two boxes and was easy to remove and assemble. The instructions were not completely clear, and actually provided incorrect instructions for some steps (they appear to be translated into English, but the translation was not from a native speaker apparently). I've assembled enough furniture in my single life to follow common sense and line the correct holes up for assembly. All holes lined up correctly for me, which seemed to be a problem from reviews I read of similar tables I considered. I assembled this alone, and the only issue I had was when I assembled the top and drop leaf pieces (2) the unit was a bit heavy and did not immediately fit perfectly onto the base. The screws that go into the top are a bit wonky and there is no clear stoppage point (they will continue to spin around in plastic casings), but I realized they needed to be screwed into the top more for the top to lay flat - again, the instructions do not provide this information, but was discovered through trial and error. The only thing I was missing from assembly was one cap to cover a screw hole. The shelves also just lay on top of the bars - no screwing, etc. They fit well, so I'm not concerned about this - for now. The top of the table had a few scratches, but nothing for me to dis-assemble and return. The drop leaf pieces are supposed to be held up by two thin pieces of wood for each leaf that you slide out. I'm not convinced these are going to last, especially with curious kitties that like to jump with ferocity. This table has been used for a few weeks now, and I LOVE it. I live in a small downtown studio, and recently remodeled my space causing me to need such a table that could work both as a desk and a dining table. I needed a table that fit in a small space for daily work, but could be extendable for dinner parties, gatherings, etc. The storage shelves are essential for me to store both work items (laptop, etc) and dining items (napkins, flatware, etc). This table is perfect, and I strongly recommend it if you are considering it.

Worst Table Ever
The storage area beneath is what drew me to this table - It is the only table that I could find that was normal, not counter or pub, height with storage built in. It's hard to sit at the table with the storage under it. The storage is great, shelves are stable and sturdy, but you can't scoot your chair all the way under without hitting your knees. The main complaint is the quality of the table top. If I'd paid full price for this I would be even more peeved. The drop leaf sides are terrible. You cannot put any pressure or weight on the sides without feeling like they will drop out from under you. If this table top was ONE solid piece, I think I'd have no complaints, but the problems with the quality of the top just magnify the other issues I have with the table.
