A: Contrary to what you answered in 2020, your 2024 packaging lists "Cooling" on the side. Here is a link from the Good Housekeeping Institute that tries to demystify "Percale" vs "Sateen" cotton sheets.

A: Thank you. However, sateen is a weave that is known for having the opposite property, it is not cooling. A cotton weave that is known for being cooling is percale. Not all weaves are the same and not all cotton is known to keep you cool. Sateen is more suited to winter months. California Design Den's 400 thread count sateen sheet set is called Everyday Soft Sateen. Nowhere on its own website does it describe this set as cooling. Cotton is naturally more cooling than synthetic fibers for sure. But not all cotton weaves are the same at keeping you warm or cool.

A: Cotton by its very nature is cooling ( naturally breathable). The sateen word here explain the "weave" of the sheet fabric. Sateen creates a smoother and a slightly lustrous texture, thus improving the coolness, softness as well as comfort - the"luxurious feel"!

Lint magnets
These are absolutely beautiful, but they attract lint and pet fur like a magnet. First wash and dry, they were covered with little clumps of fur and lint. I tried to lint-brush them, but it was pointless—plus I knew the same thing would happen next time I washed them. They’re also not as soft as I was expecting, especially for sateen.

These sheets felt soft in packaging but were extremely rough and scratchy after washing. It’s been several washes later and I still wake up itchy. They are also no softer. It’s like they spray them with a softener that washes off? Truly bizarre to me. I’ve just stopped using them and only buy Threshold sheets when they are in stock. These sheets feel like extremely short cotton fibers that stick out of the weave and poke you during slumber which leads to itching and scratching. A huge waste of $65.
