Keeps my frizz Down
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. Really helps with my frizz. Even at the beach

Greasy
I tried this product on dry hair to tame the frizz/flyaways. It made my hair so greasy! It was so bad I had to wash my hair and start over. I have fine but dense, low porosity hair with 1c/2a waves. Maybe its incompatible with my hair type? I will try one more time and update my review if I get better results.

Game changer
I have naturally curly (3c) hair that i never wear curly! I blowdry with round brush and use a flat iron and velcro rollers. I don't try to wear it pin straight, just smooth and more of a blow out look. i also live in the south where it is very humid in summer thru fall so I fight frizz all the time. As soon as I walk out the door it poofs up. Yes, like Monica from Friends! So i just came across this product and although it is not super humid here yet, I can tell this is going to be a game changer this summer! I used the tiniest amount on my dry styled hair this week and it was rainy out for days and guess what? Very minimal frizz! I also used Curlsmith shampoo and conditioner for the first time (core strength) but I don't think it had anything to do with less frizz. This serum is unlike most which contain dimethicone (silicone), so maybe that's why this worked so well! I am a big fan of this product and plan on this being my holy grail this summer!

Huge disappointment
Looking for a solition to day 2-3 curls between washes to smooth frizz and reinvigorate. All this did was make me literally look like a greasy trash raccoon. I don't know if my curls are too fragile for this? But would not recommend for 2C-3B mix. Did not use a blow dry or curling iron after this (because that wasnt the point), so i don't know if that would help. Couldnt even get through the bottle. After owning for 2 years trying to make it work i just threw it out. Such a waste if money.

My second buy
I have tried other finishing serums and returned them all, trying to find one maybe a little less expensive. But none of them compared. This goes on well, hair feels good after use. The others were sticky and just plain yucky. l will stick with this one from now on. I use it when my hair is curly and when I wear it straight.

My "go-to" last step in styling my curls!
I just started using the CurlSmith product line for my 3a-3c curls and I am hooked! The things I love most about the Frizz Rescue Finishing Serum is it eliminates frizz, gives definition, adds shine and provides hold, all without weighing down my curls. One important thing to remember is a little goes a long way. I use it sparingly on my fine-medium hair. CurlSmith, PLEASE don't ever discontinue the Frizz Rescue Finishing Serum… it's truly a lifesaver for my curls!!

I'm finally getting my hair back!!!
I have protein sensitive 3b curls & it's really hard for me to find products I can use. I've lived in a very humid area all my life, and moved to a dry mountain town 3 years ago. I thought living in a dry climate was my answer to all my hair problems because my hair hates humidity (it frizzes terribly). Every time we visited here, my hair would look amazing the whole time. Every one that knows me knew how excited I was to live without frizzy hair from the humidity (or so I thought). Well... after 6 months of living here, I noticed my hair really drying out. My hair would look great right after styling, but within an hour, it would be extremely frizzy. This just got worse & worse, and my ends were constantly needing to be cut because they were breaking so badly. The combination of the severe dry climate & high elevation (7,400' above sea level) was worse than the high humidity. The humidity only made my hair frizzy - it never caused breakage. I finally realized I had to change my hair products if I wanted to get my hair back healthy & longer. I have had to lose a lot of length over these few years. It's just really hard to do when you've been doing it the same way for so long, and also because I can't use products with added proteins. I started searching 2 years ago, and I'm just now finding what works. I even went through several products from Curlsmith, but they were either too heavy or too sticky. I decided to order the Curl Retainer from this line & I loved it, but my hair still needed a little more moisture. I ordered this serum and used it according to the directions. I thought it was going to be a fail, but something told me to try it on wet hair instead of dry hair. OMG, it is a game changer!!! My curls look so moisturized, bouncy & defined. I can also go several days without washing. On day 3-4, I just wet my entire head down, comb through with very wide tooth comb, and diffuse (it looks like I just washed it). You have to only use a small amount, though, or it'll be too heavy. I used too much the second time, but I just wet it down completely, scrunched the extra product off with a microfiber towel, and my hair looked great. I'm finally going to get my hair back!!! Please never stop making this product, Curlsmith!!!

Will definitely buy again!
I have thick, heavy, coarse, somewhat frizz prone hair. With all the hairsprays seemingly turning to water (thank Kenra25), nothing was holding or helping my hair. So glad I took a chance with this finishing styler! Curls are way more defined, no frizz, love the smell. Finally!

Wow!
Where has this product been on my curly girl journey? LOVE it! It's perfect to tame my frizzy, coarse, thick, unruly mop. Exactly the product I was looking for and so happy to have found it!

Not for my hair
I like the other products in this line but the serum was way too heavy and greasy feeling for my hair. My hair is pretty thin and the directions said use sparingly but even that was too much. I did love the smell though and was sad that it wasn't the serum for me.

Depends on the hair, smells really nice
I have 3A/3B hair that's thick and textured. My almost 4 year old has 2C/3B hair that's fine and silky. I tried this on my hair and it did nothing for frizz. It just sits on my hair. I used it on her and it made her hair shiny and got rid of the frizz. Her hair doesn't respond well to gel, it mostly just sits on her hair and makes it dry so I use this instead when I need to put her hair in a ponytail or braids and it doesn't create as much buildup for her.

Lots of Frizz
I wanted to like this but my hair was left twice as frizzy after using. Made sure to follow all directions on the bottle but was left with lots of frizz. I did however like the consistency of the product, so that was nice.

Only product to ever tame my frizz
This product is amazing! I have super fine but extremely dense/thick long super dry 2B-3A but mostly 2C low porosity protein sensitive curls, and I've tried everything to just make my curls an acceptable level of frizzy and never had luck until this! I had honestly no idea what this product was going to be like when I ordered it, just liked the concept and Curlsmith products, and it's basically a gel/oil mix which is great because my curls LOVE oil and can always use a little more hold as my hair weighs itself down so much. I had no issues with this product making my hair look oily even though it's fine and while a little does go a long way I have a lot of hair so I had to use a bit more, still no issues with hair looking oily. Applied it initially as instructed to break the cast (also used the curl retainer from this line which was another combo product gel/styling cream), and found it's much more effective for frizz when it's the very last product applied, like even after hairspray. When I did that it successfully tamed the majority of my frizz and provided extra definition, shine, and hold to leave my curls looking gorgeous! I would highly recommend to others who've never found a product that keeps your frizz under control!

not sure
i'm not sure how to rate this since i think it is a nice product but just didn't work for my 3c hair. It kind of made my hair shrink and the next day my curlsmith refresher didn't work as well and curls from washday did not last. I really need crunchy curls for mine to last! weird, i know!

Hair is still frizzy but soft
I bought this serum and the jelly to try and reduce the frizz on my curls. I've used it twice but I haven't seen a huge difference in my frizz levels. I used a decent amount of product to try and coat most strands but my hair is definitely still frizzy. I'm still debating about returning these products to the store. I feel like if you only have a little frizz this product might work from you but if you are dealing with a significant amount of frizz this probably is not the product for you.

Disappointed 😞
This is way too heavy for fine hair and somehow managed to make my hair look frizzy and oily at the same time. I only used the tiniest amount to scrunch the crunch and I had way more frizz than usual and my ends looked stringy and oily. Will be returning.
