  • A: Product use instructions can be found on each product's packaging! As for the order, it is generally recommended to follow the product's consistency (layer from thinnest to thickest). Use frequency may vary by product. Start by using the Acne Cleanser just 2-3 times a week to allow your skin to adjust. If your skin tolerates it well, we recommend using the Acne Cleanser (benzoyl peroxide cleanser) both morning and evening. If you have sensitive or dry skin, start by using the Acne Cleanser once a day and work your way up!

    Smells Horrendous

    I have used Curology’s cleanser for six years and have always loved it. It worked so well for my skin and was unscented. I don’t know what has changed but this now smells horrendous. Like burning plastic or rubber. I tried buying it multiple times hoping that it was just a lot issue but each one smelled awful.

    Awful Reformulation

    This was my go to cleanser FOR YEARS! It would take off the remainder of my makeup and didn’t strip my skin. It was perfect for my sensitive skin. Curology reformulated this product and it’s AWFUL! The first thing I noticed was the horrid smell. It smells like cigarettes. I couldn’t stand, I couldn’t even finish washing my face. It left my skin feeling tight and dry afterwards. Now, I’m back on the hunt for a new holy grail.

    Do not buy!

    Absolutely awful! As a person with problem skin the original formula was the only thing that has worked on my skin throughout my lifetime. Now they have cheapened the formula (which you can tell by comparing the old to the new bottle) causing horrific break outs, barely feels like it’s truly cleaning my skin. I am so incredibly disappointed in them for doing this. I have used their face wash for many years now which provided me some relief to find something that I can depend on. So disappointed!!!

    Bad smell

    I’ve used this face wash for the last five years and loved it. However, I just picked up the new squeeze bottle because I ran out of the pump bottle and this version smells so terrible. This face wash is supposed to be unscented but it now has a smell to it like it’s gone bad or rotten. Won’t be using this face wash again and will be looking for a replacement.

    Strong burnt smell

    I've been using this face wash for years and love it, but like a previous review said, along with this new packaging is a very off putting burnt smell. Really strong and gross. In all my seven years of using this product it's never smelled like this, or anything for that matter. I went through the ingredients one by one to make sure they hadn't changed the formula (it's all the same), so maybe it's the packaging? Not sure, but it smells very bad now.

    Changed the formula, smells burnt

    I’ve bought this cleanser for years. Loved that it was gentle on my skin, even through breakouts and hormonal acne and weather changes. And it USED to be scent free. Now that they’ve changed the packaging to a squeeze bottle, it smells like burnt bacon mixed with a bonfire plus something else not good. It’s incredibly unpleasant and I will be on the hunt for a new daily moisturizer. Yes, Curology, you heard that right. I’ve been using this twice a day, everyday, for the past two, if not three years. Count your days!!

    meh

    this is very gentle, but doesn't do a lot to improve my skin. sure it doesn't cause breakouts or exess dryness (so many products do) but can't remove 100 % of makeup and skin doesn't feel any cleaner - pores still get buildup as usual and while it can relieve a bit of that "parched" feeling in winter the flakey patches are still around. ok as a supplement I guess but not worth it as a reliable day-to-day product.
